I don't mind Wednesdays ATM because they're often meeting free. So I can both indulge my need to be distracted and make solid progress on my tickets. That makes the day pass quickly.
Monday's are usually shit. My Sunday tends to be busy, then I sleep poorly because my sleeping brain starts anticipating the alarm 3 hours before it goes off, every other week I have 3 meetings before lunch, and usually a todo list left over from Friday that has grown even larger over the weekend.
I'm an Oregonian whose been craving a trip to Victoria, BC so I support the plan where I don't need a passport to do so. And I assume this would come with a box set of Kim's Convenience and/or Schitt's Creek?
But I think the GDP of those states is higher than the whole of Canada (and most of Europe). So how about we go it our own way but set up one of those fun free-trade, free movement unions with our francophonic friends.
If salad could sit on the counter while the cheetos were hidden away in a crisper drawer... honestly I don't think anything would change. But now I want chilled cheetos.
Just made it myself but its really bare bones right now. I'm planning to making an upgraded one if I can give up the dream of adding the anemometer which I just don't have a place to mount right now.
ESP32 running ESPHome, a (calibrated) BMP280 for temp/humidity/pressure, a BH1750 light sensor, some math to get absolute humidity and dew point, and a case I 3d printed.
Most recently I discovered my house naturally has one of those "the sun will shine exactly here at one time of the year" things going on, like a treasure hunting movie trope. A reflective mosaic hung on my neighbor's shed is in the right spot that, in late December, sun reflection causes a arc of sunshine to slowly sweep over and brighten up spots on my back porch for an hour or so.
I recently made an ESPHome based weather station that includes a LUX sensor. I was updating a lighting automation so it would turn on sooner during dark mornings using the new sensor and I noticed a daily spike in light. The neighbor put up that mosaic several years ago and it took a HA histogram for me to notice.
The first thing I do with any new laptop is figure out show to disable the trackpad. I've never liked them and they've been getting worse as more manufacturers make apple-like ones (physical buttons are nicer). So I'm disinclined to own something that, for me, just introduces a ton of new ways for my spacebar to break.
Today I was coming off a lovely 2 week vacation (my first break for more than a week in several years) but on Friday I got a Monday morning meeting invite set for 30 minutes before I usually start for the day. It was just a little taste of work crap to make sure the office was on my mind all weekend.
