I'm terrible about taking photos of things, it just doesn't occur to me until I need one.
This is the view from one of my printer webcams of a 2 day print that just finished about 20 minutes ago; its covered in supports because the walls are modeled like stone. A friend of mine of running Vecna: Eve of Ruin and asked me to print him a Death House (in about 16 parts - 11 beds full). In total this is going to be about 20 days of printing because I'm doing it at 0.1mm layer height - I'm not quite halfway through. This is the model and here is a reddit thread showing it painted.
Since that one is not much to look at, here's a pic with a squirrel, from a recent blog post about how my 3D printed Bird/Squirrel feeder has withstood 15 months of weather and abuse.
Most people seem to have a negative reaction to this, but I think we should all go UTC. Timezones are for suckers. My schedule at work is 4"pm" to 12"am," dinner is about 2, and sundown is currently about 3am.
I prefer to think of Pluto as the king of the dwarf planets and namesake of the Plutoids, rather than as a weird lesser planet not appreciably bigger than its moon.
Writing them off as an American company is totally valid, but I'm happy to pay for a quality service because it keeps ads out and lets me vote with my money. It's really not much to cling to psychologically, but it helps. When I and others completely degoogle our lives it moves no needles at GoogHQ, but paying subscriber metrics are a KPI discussed in every board room in the world.
It's been more than 20 years since my wife moved to the west cost and she still laments the lack of fireflies. Where-as, whenever I've been out east, I'm caught off guard by them... then I start singing Roxanne.
I think I was stunned by a car company that would bother to conditionally pluralize doors on a dot matrix LCD screen. I'm so used to the companies now, cutting every corner no matter how many times they've been cut before.
In high school friends and I made a (terrible) "Very Low Budget Star Wars" sketch. The only gag I remember is that Vader was wheezing because his costume was a black garbage bag over his torso (arms torn through at the sides of the bag) and we didn't make a hole for his head/breathing.
