Why is everything in consumer / American life so fucking shitty now - and companies literally just say 'oh bc profit margins' and we're now expected to swallow that and sympathize?

  • Android is great for customization, price and choice. Android sucks because some vendors stop os updates only after a couple of years. Granted you can manually install a costum rom from a stranger.

    Apple good hardware, should performance. Regular updates. Boring?

  • I have a cheap Acer laptop with AMD and it works great. I'm dual booting with Windows. I do remember having to struggle with the install though. I had to turn off secure boot and can't remember what else. Good luck.
