  • I mean, I never paid for it but I did the math many years ago, to explain predatory microtransactions, and found out that for a chance - a perfect rolled no dupes chance - it'd be cheaper to buy a 2DS and a physical copy of new leaf.

Like, there's only so many times they can release a set or do a palette swap for a 'new' collection.

  • Toot toot

  • I learned to sneeze like that long before dabbing was a thing and it wasn't until someone commented that I just dabbed on them that it connected those dots.

Regardless, I still sneeze in my elbow.

  • I believe Adams himself considered each different medium to be "it's own story" though just as he added and changed things from the radio play for the book, he also added and changed things in the movie screen play... When he was involved in it. I'm not going to pretend it was all his work but it was it's own thing.

  • I understood them all just fine... Still poor pacing. The first movie was basically half buildup for the second half's continuous action. Two and three both suffered from the abrupt slow down after the action scenes that I personally feel never really got "better."

I mean, I've got them all so I'm not going to pretend they're as bad as other movies that we pretend didn't get sequels but they just worse than the first one.

That said, I would regularly rewatch a cut that was just all the action scenes.

  • Yeah, but you'd need to think in your campaign room "What if someone asks why we're certifying fake electors?" which, admittedly, in a sane world seems like an insane thing to worry about.

We're not in a sane world but "Well, we don't have a comment at this time but we're looking into the matter." could be construed as "didn't immediately respond to our question."

  • A sideshow near me ended with everyone fleeing after a Charger drifted into a traffic signal and knocked out power to the block.

    That's reckless driving, man.

Like, takeover a Walmart parking lot. Drift at Costco. Doing it at an intersection next to an apartment? C'mon.

  • I'm not going to pretend Folger's is some fine luxury brand. I'm not going to pretend it's even good coffee. It's fine. Not great but fine.

Is it shit? No, get your ratios right and it's fine. It's cheaper and better than a Starbucks cup. If you're going for black coffee, you can do worse.

  • In one exchange, Sgt Schultz said he "wished he could be Jason Bourne" in reference to the fictional spy character.

After being promised more money from his handler, he said in another message: "I hope so! I need to get my other BMW back!".

Unless the Army repo'd his Beamer, I'd assume no. He was just bad with money and delusional.

  • Saying the words "Break dancing" and "she creates her own moves [as why she failed]", to me, proves there's zero need for that to be an Olympic sport.

I've always kind of detested 'judged' sports, not the sports themselves but the idea of judging creative expression on a scale. Like, "We, the panel, have decreed that your moves were not funky fresh. Pop and lock your way to the locker room please."
