  • Ads are a brainwashing technique designed to turn my baser instincts against myself for someone else's gain. And they're unwanted content that disrupts the flow of the content I've chosen to watch.

  • Why do you even need to see that light? I chose a solid metal case, simple as. Noise dampened, protects against electromagnetic interference and isn't prone to spontaneously exploding as many glass cases are.

  • Dialogues that don't require clicking OK to apply my selection. What if I change my mind or click the wrong thing?

  • Users are lazy AF and hate to read. No matter how instructive the error message, some people would rather open a helpdesk ticket because "the computer isn't working again".

    It says right there your USB drive is full and suggests deleting some files to free up space, Karen! 🤨

    Seriously, I love the concept of NewPipe but the low resolution bugs me too much. I'm holding out with Firefox and uBlock as long as I can.

    And guess what, if it gave me an ad free experience at an affordable price I actually wouldn't mind paying for YT Premium.

  • From my experience, yes. Especially since tabs or a table with invisible grid lines are usually the better tools for this job.

    But people still use their computer like a typewriter, 25 years after those went out of fashion.

  • In fairness, you're right. I just spent a few minutes looking at higher resolution images of the box and it does not make that claim.

    That said, the meme captures the spirit of an era pretty perfectly. I still think it hits the nail on the head.
