Why isn't this labeled as an opinion piece? There's nothing in here to substantiate the headline and almost no journalism. I'm not used to work like this from The Intercept.
I think elemental cadmium is toxic, I'm not sure CdS is. It is used in many many light detecting circuits. I think the CdS is used as a catalyst here anyway, so not depleted in use.
The reddit results I see on Google or DDG are usually blocked so no browser can access them. I hate to see all that content disappear but on the other hand I really don't want to give Reddit any clicks.
Don't we blame MS at least as much? How does MS let an update like this push through their Windows Update system? How does an application update make the whole OS unable to boot? Blue screens on Windows have been around for decades, why don't we have a better recovery system?
