Who operates the ship? I mean what company and a quote from them might be something to include CNN.

This is the best easiest solution. I set one up for a client years ago and it just runs and does as asked. You can't really tinker but just about everything you can think of is there so you don't need to.

Is there insulation on the exterior walls? If not then that seems like the biggest/best single thing to do. I would bet there's some way they can shoot in some without destroying all the walls but idk.

I don't see how a mini split, which is generally less efficient than a typical outdoor unit, helps at all.

Spray foam insulation is another thing to investigate for the attic.

Also, and this is outside the box, what about planting some trees to throw shade?

Another vote for clonezilla. I've used it 20+ times for this exact thing. One tip: you might want to chkdsk your drive from windows before you clone it. I've had that screw up the copy a few times.

Add in the average dev and together they will find all the weak points.

Maybe for testing? Us devs can do better than the average user, IMHO.

If you're going to paint them then it might be worth trying to fill the missing areas and sand. I don't think you could ever expect to repair this so it can be stained though. Only a new veneer over the entire side could do that and that'll likely cost you more than a new door.

Hanging a new door is easier than you might think though, especially if it's pre-hung.

I might check salvage yards and see if you can find doors in your sizes. Most doors can be cut at least an inch or even two off the sides or bottom.
