USB-PD is a de-facto low-power DC voltage standard, with USB-C being the universal plug. Hurray!

  • My brother's TRS-80 CoCo in 1983, at least until I got a TI-99/4A of my own the next year. But the real fun didn't get going until I got the 32k expansion cartridge and started assembly language. Now 40 years later and a degree and career in CIS...

  • Consider that "attractive" won't always be skewed so heavily towards appearance. As I've gotten older attitude and personality matters at least as much as physical appearance. When I was 25 I was probably 90/10 (appearance/personality), now (55) I'm probably 40/60.

  • EVs require much less maintenance...dealers make much of their money from... maintenance! So they mark up the sale price to compensate for their lost revenue.

    The solution is selling cars without dealerships, but our helpful state legislatures have made that illegal in many states.

  • People are going to start to wonder what they have all the Windows OS for when all they do is run a browser. If someone makes a less hassle Linux distro...that runs well on Arm... Well we could finally have some advancement in mobile computing. ChromeOS was almost it but Google made it all cloud and Google only.
