  • Yes we need the society to look like Hercule Poirot's England where you had to wait for your uncle to die, or help them on the way, to get some inheritance.

  • It's still good to start training one's AI prompt muscles and to learn what a LLM can and can't do.

  • One thing I noticed while watching anime is German loan words.

  • Japanese, get the most out of your anime and manga!

  • But can it run Crysis?

  • And LaTeX works very well with git, this is really great when you are collaborating on a report.

  • 1900 employees, that's something like 10 big games that won't be released, or we can look forward to more outages and bugs in the new releases, and slower fixing of those bugs.

Thanks Microsoft for your contribution to enshittification 🏅💩

  • All the extra debt they get could have been bank fees, why don't you think of the starving CEO's, else they can't afford their Beluga Caviar and Dom Pérignon dinners.

  • After I finished with Dune, I started reading John Scalzi Both the Old Man's War and the Collapsing Empire series, he is a great and funny author.

Then I'm re-reading Discworld between the other books, I have also been reading WH40K Eisenhorn but the second book didn't really catch, the mountain of lore can be a bit scary.

  • Are you planning to read Brian's books after Chapterhouse? I chose to stop.

  • Trash company, throw it on the pile with all the other ad companies.

I'm happy that I never connected my TV to the internet.

  • Pivot! Pivot! Worked this time.

  • Narrator: ... Thus solving the problem once and for all.

    Suzie: But--

    Narrator: Once and for all!

  • And those Pizza Couriers bring me food, so their lives matter more!

  • Pizza Delivery Persons Lives Matter (PDPLM), it doesn't quite roll off the tongue and may need some work shopping.

  • My initial guess would be around $70/month based on new game prices but that could be too high if we compare with streaming prices:

    https://www.fool.com/the-ascent/personal-finance/articles/heres-how-much-it-would-cost-to-subscribe-to-all-streaming-services-in-2024/

If we take those averages it could be somewhere between $10/month (average for sports streams) or $50/month (average for live streams).

Could be something for Twitch streamers, but they sometimes get send free copies to review so even then its not a 100% match.

I really hope this flops fast.

  • We even have the current streaming services as examples, that's why Ubisoft are greedy for getting people to subscribe.

Game streaming services will eventually be:

    • Fragmented: You will need to have multiple subscriptions to play the games you want.
    • Games will disappear without notice (We already see this on app-stores).
    • Prices will be jacked up at a whim, and premium tier plans will be added.
    • And as the pièce de résistance: Full of ads.
