  • Totally agree with you. Didn’t mean for an appeal to tradition, or a “we’ve always done it” type of reasoning.

While history sure as shit isn’t pretty, there is some measure of stability and institutional knowledge that we have developed and shouldn’t be written off.

Kinda like that quote from the economist that goes something like “we’re not on the gold standard because it’s some new wild idea, we’re not on the gold standard because of everything we know across history about the gold standard.”

  • The same as everyone else on the planet not desperate to sign up for a pump and dump scheme like crypto.

Same as my parents and your parents and their parents and everyone’s grandparents and the whole sum total of hundreds of years of human experience in what has been pretty much a prosperous economy.

But something tells me the whole internet couldn’t stop you from telling us all why we have it all wrong and should instead waste the energy output of Argentina on fake math problems to artificially create a coin…

  • If it’s like oxy and primarily affects white folks, they won’t do shit.

Also cops can’t get away with saying “I smelled heroin” as an excuse to terrorize minorities in a traffic stop like they historically did with grass.

  • That book was wild. Read it in high school as part of a class that also covered the classics of the era; On the Beach, Fail Safe etc. It stuck with me with its description of blindness from the blast and the metaphor for confusion.

  • It’s important to some people. It’s not important at all to republicans if putin disagrees.

A republican party with members spending the 4th of July in Moscow would take putin’s propaganda slandering Ukrainians over the bible itself 10 times out of 10.

  • Given your past posts have you considered just sitting out politics?

Like you obviously have opinions but maybe consider that they don’t have enough facts to justify further action…

Maybe think about everything you so broadly gesture at and consider your role (or absence of role) before posting yet more comments. Or just hand wave some more…

  • To translate: As a child learning math this equates to “ignore math, the explanations don’t explain anything real, they only explain more math.“

“The only explanation is more abstraction with no real world application as far as math class is concerned. Frankly, there’s more application to your own life experience if you focus on language and the arts.”

  • They do, (for better or worse) Biden’s a career politician who has consistently won elections for decades. He beat trump before and has been out raising him this whole time.

Check out OPs post history. It’s almost like they only post articles meant to give you a certain impression…

  • That’s a meaningless distinction that is outdated and kinda irrelevant to the point.

“Bourgeoisie” might have referred to those who were middle class in a world with aristocracy. It also has a couple hundred years of usage that makes it perfectly valid here. It always referred to a merchant class who owned businesses and were not poor.

Some asshole being paid to call an entire generation lazy and saying they don’t work absolutely fits.

He’s sitting around on stage being well paid to act the part. His net worth is as irrelevant as 300 year old semantics on the internet.
