I was in grade 2 in the 60’s, around 7yrs old I guess. I had a teacher who was named Miss Eaton. She was a very old mean spirited spinster.

We were learning how to write. I find that I am left handed. Old battle axe started smacking my left hand with a ruler saying I’ll get the devil out of you yet and kept forcing me to write with my right hand and smacking me when I didn’t. This went on for a while (ya I guess I was dumb) until my mom saw my red hand and asked. Well holy shit she grabbed her keys and me right then and there and drove at the speed of light to the school and barged into the office. Damage to this day was done. I have horrible hand writing.

Been pretty much 10 years with back pain and I also have arthritis and neuropathy.

I tried NSAIDS, I tried the other ones, I forget name, tried the brain ones. They were worse than the pain. Destroyed my gut or made me want to blow my brains out and 0 relief.

I don’t really like opiates. Not too worried about the addiction as I am Larry Flint type and don’t really care if I am on or off it. They help better (to reduce pain not alleviate) than all the other crap I mentioned. I also take Baclofen once or twice a week to rest me muscles.

I take cannabis for my Aphantasia(a longer story not for here) which as an added bonus it also helps alleviate pain. I eat fruit bottom Balkan yogurt once every 2 days and have no plumbing issues since I started the yogurt.

I may be anecdotal. I got banned and came to Lemmy a couple months ago.

My wife got a 3 day ban last week in a hamster subreddit. She got a 7 day ban today in the Reddit ratty channel after somebody had a pic of a wrapped rat in a paper towel. Wife said wouldn’t it look cute in a taco wrap. Go figure.

I like it because it has no ads. I can turn off list of stupid gamba channel listings. It pays it streamers 90% of their sub unlike Twitch. The quality is better than Twitch. It is not American owned(added bonus).
