Let’s not and say we did?

In Canada. A very good friend of mine who is around 70 but acts more like in his 30’s which kept him feeling good. Hey we only have one life let’s enjoy it.

Unfortunately it caught up with him a month or so ago.

He was in a vicious motorcycle (his) accident that took an eye, a leg, needed facial reconstruction and wrecked chest. He cannot speak as his jaw is wired shut. I am disabled and cannot get up north to see him. His daughter calls me once in a bit to fill me in.

I cannot begin to comprehend how much his operations, rehab, prosthetics and hospital fees would be in the states. I assume he won’t be getting out for a few months (I am not very knowledgeable on medical stuff) then a ton of therapy. I was told he also has insurance on top of his Ontario health card so hopefully he is in very good hands.

They are arbitrarily nuking peops to replace with bots. My wife got banned for laughing at a ratty pic near a whole wheat wrap and saying yum. Reddit said it was inciting violence. 2 days ago there was an actual picture of a rat in a wrap and no one was nuked. I also was nuked a month or so ago.

GTFO you bunch of fascist asshats. The states have fast become the country to stay away from and never buy from ever again.

AI seems to think it’s always right but in reality it is seldom correct.

Umm, it looks the output is listed on the back of the monitor unless I am mistaken? Not only crappy but no one even proof read for errors. Sounds like a place you want to run from not work at.

For me no inner voice of any kind. It’s just sort of there. No minds eye either.

If you want a 1st hand view of what Finland is like there is a guy who full time rides his bike through different countries (for 7-8 years now) and streams live. Umm, that is my point. Due to the massive pile of “standards” there really is not one standard in any part of the industry as it will change within months etc.

I spent 40 years in the computer industry. I learned one thing very early on.

The only standard in the computer industry is that there isn’t one.

I am an anomaly. I was brought up by my mother, a British WWII war bride who married a Canadian soldier and moved to Canada with him. She would only let me speak the “Queen‘s English“. Oh, and I had to watch Jeopardy every single day for eight years.

I was not even allowed to use contractions.

The worst part was that she never taught me the rules that allowed me to speak very well, but I could not explain how I spoke very well. Got me in quite a bit of trouble when younger.

I guess knowing tense and other stuff exists it saddens me that people are no longer as descriptive and personal as they used to be decades ago.
