  • My use case is primarily real time data capture - raw log is written to disk and can be recovered from, although at that point we'd have fallen back on the secondary as primary would now be suspect.

  • Or, alternatively, my phone needs replaced and I buy a flagship because they have much better cameras, I take a lot of photos and don't want to carry a second device. I also intend to keep it until it's unusable. Sent from my 5 year old flagship absolutely nobody thinks is a fancy phone and I doubt ever did.

  • I'm not sure Google can be blamed for people using ad blockers - but from that perspective actively preventing ad blockers would be the "right" thing to do. Unless you want them to ban creators securing in video sponsor deals, I'm not sure what you want Google to do here or how that's a scam. YouTube premium removes Google's ads, I don't think it claims to do anything else. Do Google make claims about creators getting paid everything they generate? Was anyone under that impression? The platform does need to be paid for and the revenue generated through some content creators is subsidising others.

YouTube isn't perfect by any stretch, I don't enjoy ads any more than anyone else, but calling it a scam just seems very far removed from reality.

  • I'm not super full of national pride, but its not exactly a hell hole and on the plus side we've recently elected a party on the left while a good chunk of the other major European powers are shifting to the right. Need to get on top of this Reform nonsense, but I'm not seeing anyone rounding up LGBTQ folk.
