it's especially a big deal when it comes to battle passes in video games. you know how many people bend over backwards to justify fortnite gatekeeping most everything? especially the stuff that's not time gated but just doesn't appear in the shop too often. Then they throw a hissy fit when someone buys it
the obvious first solution is to condemn fomo practices, but in the fortnite case, the devs would rather go bankrupt and die
my first thought with this plan is the exact same thought I have when one of those "buy gold" commercials comes on and the old person be like "it's tangible, I can hold it in my hand, it's not sitting in a bank." That only helps the person breaking into your house. So if you gave EVERYONE a little bit of gold, people would know others have this gold, and if the wrong person finds that out they're gonna break into houses getting that gold.
bold of you to assume he thoroughly thinks out half his comments. hell, one time he proposed banning guns to stop school shootings, which republicans said democrats would do as a reason to vote red for years, and every trump-supporting gun owner was down bad for it. but it never happened
