Later seasons really flanderized some aspects of the characters, but I always fondly remember one scene where The Gang is assembling a new TV stand for Penny's apartment and someone questions the airflow it offers. So they immediately start designing a water-cooling system for her TV.

I watched a video about maintenence for commercial passenger jets recently. Light engine maintenence takes on the order of a week, heavy maintenence takes several months. For heavy maintenence, they literally disassemble every component of the engine, so even if everything goes perfectly, it still takes forever.

That said, I imagine they just swap a new engine into the plane while the old one is under maintenence.

Yeah, trackpads in addition to joysticks, rather than instead of joysticks, is such a game changer.

A couple of my friends had the president visit the military base they were stationed at. They said it was by far the worst week of their military career. All the security, and the security for the security, and the security theater on top of those so nobody could think they're taking it less than 150% seriously.

I hate when games DON'T have the option. In FPS non-inverted makes more sense, but in 3rd person games if I can't invert the camera if just feels unplayable.

We've written plenty of legal justification around it, but ultimately it just comes down to the fact that police CAN physically place your finger into your phone, but cannot extract a password from your brain that you don't want to give up.

If we had the ability to read minds, there'd be legal justification to grab your password within a year.
