  • I should clarify a little. I do think MAGAs are terrorists, all of them. I was being cheeky about the part about the redundant statement being redundant. My last comment was in response to the person saying it's not redundant until mainstream media calls it, which is technically true.

Let's not forget when they called themselves terrorists. If someone wanted me to support my belief, I would reference that. If I were to ask a MAGA the same thing for their negative generalization, I'd imagine I wouldn't get a response built in truth, like when they say all Dems are pedophiles, or something like that

  • Maybe guns are bad, and maybe if you bring a rifle to a high tense situation and hold it in any manner that may seem threatening, you deserve to get shot. Super sad that an innocent died. Had the "good guy" with a gun hit the target only, then at least there would only be one less moron carrying an AR-15 today, not a sad casualty.

  • ACAB.

With that out of the way, I'm ok having a specially trained and competent department or whatever to handle high pressure dangerous situations that they are equipped for literally and mentally (deescalation, negotiating, etc). Really, I think that could probably be a job for the national guard. It's unfortunate that the world has bad enough people that sometimes armed personnel are required, but it should be under trained, power hungry gangsters cops.

  • Funny how there's almost never a good guy with a gun, like statistically almost never. There was that cowboy that shot an active shooter in a church, and I'll give props to the guy the ran into Uvalde when the uniformed bad guys were too chicken shit to save kids lives, and just hung outside. I can't think of any off the top of my head, although I know they exist, but I could prattle off at least a dozen high profile shootings.

  • I love text chats with a person, but I feel most of the time that when I start with a text chat with a bot and get transferred to a real agent, they ask all of the same questions, like info gathering name, phone, email, etc. it's almost as if the real people can't see the transcript of the conversation I had with the bot.

The thing is, most of those chats that I've worked with for years are simple chat bots, not AI, and those are plenty effective for their purpose. They have their preset question tree and that's it. I may also be a little skewed in my experiences compared to a lot of people, since I've worked in IT for over a decade, so often when in reaching out to service, it's something more advanced where I need a person to actually talk to. Also, anything billing or containing private information. I under no circumstances want that fed into an LLM or accessible to an AI agent so it can be shared accidentally to someone else.

  • I'll say fuck off without saying fuck off as to not get my shit removed, but bad faith arguments still need to be refuted so that ignorant people don't only see something like that and believe it's true. The amount of effort put into that only needs to be enough so that there exists a counter point.

  • Their argument indirectly hurts transgender people. It's akin to when BLM (the movement, not the corrupt organization) was big and to counter it, conservatives parroted All Lives Matter. I'd say using the term transracial is arguably worse, because it's all bullshit, while technically All Lives Matter is true, but it's bad faith argument. I personally feel it's the duty of rational people to fight against that sort of speak.

  • Absolutely. If people like the idiot this post is referring to are allowed to spew bullshit without push back, then other idiots will believe it and spread it. These people need to be shamed and publicly corrected for their bullshit stance that can hurt others. I say hurt others, because an idea like this can be used to delegitimize transgender people.

  • Which part of "chonky boi" or "mach yeet" do you need an average middle schooler to translate for you? Contextually, it's very clear what is being said for anyone that can read and speaks English.

You think you know what was said, then insulted it saying it was dumbed down for the average middle schooler. What does that say about you?

  • It does look like 3 of those pictures may be the same golden, so it may not be just sleeping on all random dogs. Could just be a case of cuddling with one or two that it likes. That's also a really young puppy by the looks, and getting tuckered out isn't abnormal.

Still good advice to keep eyes and watch for the things you mentioned.

  • I agree with your sentiment, but even a well trained pitbull can be dangerous, just like any dog. Train and raise them right, and the dangers are mitigated, but not completely gone. Pedantic, I know, but you can't say they aren't dangerous at all.
