  • Thanks, I’m interviewing at a couple places soon, fingers crossed. Considering posting up my soldering skills on Facebook buy/sell/trade groups if I don’t find anything soon to hold me over. There’s always people who need their HDMI ports or such repaired and no one around here offers it, I just haven’t had the time since I’ve been working so much. That would require making a new Facebook though, since I deleted mine years ago.

  • I used to be extremely critical of China And the CCP. Used to post publicly on my Facebook and other social media about them. I just got back in April from China after deprogramming myself from decades of Sinophobia, and I had absolutely no issues.

  • All Chinese companies, public or private, are required to have worker democracy. They have better required benefits than I do in the US, including maternity care, sick time, overtime pay, and a lower retirement age. If you support not trading with the US and India at all, I will acknowledge your consistency, but it seems to me that it’s likely you’re operating off of outdated information.

  • That’s wild, I’ve put dozens, maybe even hundreds, of days print time onto my MK3S+, never followed any maintenance regimen. The only issue I’ve ever had was with the MMU2S, and it was a printed part so I just printed another and it’s been going for days print time again. Voron is a sweet beast, if you go that way, buy a kit. Self sourcing was an expensive endeavor and frustrating at times.

Did you build your MK3S+ or buy a prebuilt?

  • The 3DS Pokémon games are so much better than the newest ones on switch, it’s crazy. I recently got the two newest mainline games on switch to play with my little brother, and it’s just so bad compared to my long running play throughs of White2 and Y.

  • That’s their mini kit. I recommend their pro tech toolkit for most people, has all the bits and accessories you’ll need for most things, and then I also have their Manta kit, but that’s overkill unless you’re really into repair. I have a lot of toolkits though. I have a great Wiha set similar to the pro tech toolkit, and Drivesavers sent me a really nice kit as swag from when I used to outsource customer data recovery to them that I use at work.

  • Looks pretty awesome. I have a Pocket, so I likely won’t pick this up, but anything that’s reviving the GB scene is a good thing to me. Though, for $200, you’d think it would have the ability to play GBA at least.

  • Naps. I sleep like 6-8 hours a night usually, and then I take a nap basically as soon as I get home. I find I have more functional time this way, even when I end up sleeping more than 9-10 hours, because I’m more refreshed and ready to go.
