  • In that case... I, for one, welcome our Voyager overlords!

  • You may be joking but in case you aren't, you can subscribe to PRs and you'll get a email whenever there's a change with it.

  • Awesome, my kids are going to absolutely hate it

  • well you must be fun at parties... it's a video with funny captions, really no need to read too much into this

  • Whoever made this is a god damn genius!

    I laughed, I cried, but most importantly fuck u/spez ✊

  • This comment broke me, I laughed so hard I woke up the wife

  • I appreciate the thoughtful response and agree - no need for a knee jerk reaction when there is still some time until a decision needs to be made, and there are still quite a few unanswered questions.

    As long as you maintain this level of transparency I trust that you make the right decision for lemmy.world.

    As usual, thank you!

  • Got it, yes, I think having the bot subscribe to communities is a good way to solve this, and how I've seen it done. Basically users can message the bot with "subscribe

    <community url>

    ", the bot periodically checks its DMs, subscribes to the Communities and starts monitoring/processing them.

    You can add a small footnote to each message, telling them about your instance, so you also get "free publicity" 😉

  • Looks cool! Do I need to specifically add it to a community, or are you scanning all comments on Lemmy.world?

  • YES, and please everyone, add "[SOLVED]" to post titles if you're posting about some technical problem and someone helped you figure it out.

  • Him and Ruud, the Lemmy.world owner are the biggest celebrities we have around here
