It kind of has been an issue for all the big brands. Ubiquiti has been hit a few times, I'm not sure that there's a perfect choice out there.

Winning is detrimental to the party.

At a certain point, they realized that they make more money when they lose. The end goal of both parties isn't to win, it's to make the most money for their members. The democrats just happen to have stumbled into a situation where they have a perverse incentive to fuck things up just enough to barely lose so that they can keep their funding up.

About to learn that some cultures have never even had to deal with it as a real possibility so there's zero social stigma.

It's google, the product was complete when it was launched and any further development is an accident or from engineers that weren't valuable enough to be placed on new projects. Backend was whatever could get it done quickest. The only way to get ahead at google is launching new projects. They're banking on the fact that every once in awhile they get lucky and someone else build out the use case for them, but not sure how well that will go with Gemini.

They've probably already got a new product in development to replace it.

Proton is basically magic. I've got 1960 games on steam and I have a chunk that are listed as 'untested' but less than 10 that are listed as incompatible. The games listed as untested also usually end up just working. You may have to mess with proton or winetricks sporadically, but even that is very rare in my experience. It is nearly always an issue in a multiplayer game with anti-cheat when it just doesn't work.

You're probably mostly correct. Some of them do literally count that, but (to my knowledge) most measure voltage as a battery with lower charge usually outputs less and vice versa.

Libertarianism as a concept has a lot to like on a surface level, I was right there with you. They could do something great with the movement, but looking around now you eventually realize that there are really only 2 sides of mainstream libertarianism, 'Republican, but weed and gay people might be okay sometimes' and 'Completely avoid personal accountability, but still punish others when it suits me'.
