  • Most gas-powered leaf blowers use two-cycle engines, which produce hundreds of times more hazardous pollutants and fine particulates than cars. Leaf blowers overtook automobiles as the number one source of air pollution in California during 2020.

  • Flushing a toilet, yes, as far as I'm aware, any toilet, regardless of the design, creates an aerosolized mist containing small particles of fecal matter. So, every time you flush a toilet with the lid open, you are covering your bathroom and everything in it in a microscopic layer of shit... enjoy brushing your teeth later.

  • Toyota may be cranky about EV's beating out hydrogen, but they're the company claiming to have invented some new solid state battery that has an 800 mile range and can charge 80% in ten minutes on a fast charger, which would be huge for the EV market.

  • I remember an early Saturn EV that was never sold, only leased so GM could maintain ownership of them. Even with a limited range, the drivers all loved them for commuting and running errands, and many tried to purchase them outright, which GM refused. Eventually, GM issued a mandatory recall for all the Saturn EVs, mothballed the project, and then they released the Hummer... made me sick even at the time.

  • Rupees is simply the name of the currency. The different colors represent differences in value. So a green rupee is worth one, whereas a blue rupee is worth five, a red worth twenty, purple worth 50, and gold worth 200.

Since they're demanding a 50,000 rupee ransom, I'd imagine you could pay with 50k green rupees, 10k blue rupees, 2,500 red rupees, 1,000 purple rupees, or 250 gold rupees... or just convert to USD and send them the $598.99 they want.
