  • OMG! They don't teach Jesus in the public classrooms! We're morally bankrupt!!!!

    Give me a fucking break.

  • It's a crime family!!!!!!!
What crime was committed? No one knows, their imaginary whistleblowers always disappear.

  • You had me in the first half, I'm not going to lie.

  • Seems the best way is with IR blasters and learning remotes. There is software for PCs/Macs that will let you capture the IR remote functions, then you can assign that to a "smart/learning" remote to relay those signals. Not nearly as easy as the Logitech setup, and I'm dreading the day the Harmony remotes stop working.

  • I found this comment funny because I'm still using 1080p TVs in the house. Mostly because after we got them I cut the cord and couldn't even remotely stay under the Comcast cap with 4k. Even after I moved on to T-Mobile home internet, uncapped for now, I haven't upgraded because there really hasn't been a pressing need. Hell, cable and streaming don't actually deliver 1080p, it usually is 720p max. I have no idea if the 4k options actually broadcast in 4k vs a smaller resolution.

  • Problem is, I don't think they have the desperation needed to convert that energy into action. They lack the post-WWI economic devastation in Germany to convert. And their billionaire backers love the inaction on taxes and regulation, but aren't quite ready to fully shred the economy for political gain.

  • But that's exactly what they're trying to do. It is every bit as empty as the Clinton impeachment. Just like then, the Republicans KNOW this is for show and an impeachment won't get any approval in the Senate. So they can just do a performance for the base.

  • Their fee-fees were hurt when Biden won the election. This is all about revenge for Trump.

  • The other option is to buy the smart TV, turn off the networking, and hook it up to a Shield, Apple TV, or Roku. All those box makers are going to support the devices longer than TV manufacturers, and the streaming apps can't ignore them.

  • Discord is awful for privacy. The owner has been caught a few times selling user data in ways they said they don't do. And the general suspicion increased when a Chinese company bought a stake in them.

  • Find the tracker group you want, then seed and suck up to them. It's a shallow system.

  • And pointing it out is going to make him throw a fit and fill his diaper.

  • They DON'T want to live in peace. They don't want to accept the democratic process. They don't want to have to live with any democratic policy. They are working themselves up to something, and Jan 6th was just the first crack at it.

  • Meh, they don't exactly crow about where to find it in their other apps. They mentioned the "shop" in Google TV and mentioned YouTube, but didn't say where. Not like they made a store in YouTube to make it obvious. They can't be assed to be clear about it because they have so many different apps that have the functionality.

Just looked and you can't access your purchases on a brand account. That's causing issues. They may have announced it a while ago, but they didn't think it through at all. This is looking more and more like the YouTube Music fiasco.

  • Google's problem is they reward bringing new product to market, but they don't reward steady stewardship or iteration to improve existing products. That's why you see Google release multiple products that do the same thing.

  • They tried this in the US in the 90s. It was absurd then as it is now. The end users and tech companies already pay for that usage with the monthly fees everyone pays ISP's. This is the telecom companies trying to double dip.

  • Yeah, and back then the review mags were just paid for advertising. Not much has changed.
