I don’t trust a news source still calling it marijuana. Marijuana is a Mexican weed that was used as racist propaganda against cannabis in the early 20th century.

I’m happy to see the wide-spread adoption of cannabis. It’s non-addictive (it can be habit forming), you can’t overdose on it, and withdrawal is non-existent. Alcohol is addictive, you can def die from consuming too much in a single sitting, and withdrawal can literally kill you.

Like, of course if you want someone to look like they killed themselves you would use a gun and place it in their hand. Didn’t we learn about this kind of basic subterfuge in our teenage years watching TV/Movies.

It’s more about having “skin in the game” It appears that many representatives/senators are creating or upholding laws that immediately benefit them, the companies that support them, and their industries on the whole.

It isn’t crazy that the poster did the substitution, it’s is common way to replace some ingredients. She just didn’t execute properly and blamed the recipe maker/poster instead of being self-aware.

It is funny how the 80s/90s were portrayed in media. Crazy colors and styles. The reality is everything was brown and was purchased/furnished in the 70s.

You can replace SOME of the oil with applesauce. But replacing all of it (which I did find on some really shitty websites) will not work correctly.

Fat soluble flavors will be diluted by the excess water as well as not giving flour anything to bond to. Less flavor, rock hard baked good.

If you want to try using applesauce, use unsweetened applesauce and only replace (at max) 50% of the oil required for the recipe. Results may vary, I don’t see the use in lowering the fat content of a delicious baked good. I’m eating that shit full flavor, full fat, full sugar. Just eat less of it.

Outside of that tangent, the gall of this person to say “I followed the recipe exactly” when their very first sentence contradicts that completely.

Def not a bad idea, the more cities around the world the better. I also like the idea of sister cities, if they were to stick to a single portal to portal connection. I’m in Minneapolis, maybe match it with a similarly sized city across the pond. Could root for each others sports teams, offer support in trying times, develop a digital bond.

Sure, by the unrealistic standards late-stage capitalism Apple is falling behind. But in the scheme of things, they are still one of the most profitable/successful companies. They still have enough money to keep innovation, development, and their retail spaces open.

There are successful companies that make a single product, and have been doing so for 50 years. I wish the view on companies would shift back to that being more the norm.
