Had a decent day today. Big sleep. Caught up on some dishes. Played a bit of Contraband police (after about 4 hours of playtime and 3 rage quits, I finished that one near impossible mission). I'm 98% complete now, gonna crack the last part out tonight. There's another ending though, so one day I'll do that
Hot dogs and Caesar salad for tea. Jason did a bonza job at cleaning. I think It still needs a proper vacuum every so often, just cause it doesn't have the strongest suction and I suspect there stuff I can't say that a proper one would get out. But I'd be comfortable doing it monthly or even just ad-hoc. So good to have under the bed cleaned though!
And tbh it kind of encourages me to keep my room more tidy, because it'll choke on anything left on the floor
I'd never call it that, and IRL would probably jovially correct anyone who called it that, but at the same time, I wouldn't be confused if I heard/read it. I'd know what you mean
I'm very much enjoying Contraband Police but FFS can they please stop with these damn near impossible shootouts? Jesus Christ. They seem to have rebalanced since the playthrough a on YouTube, because I keep getting so many more enemies seem to spawn for me, and my mission thing I'm stuck on is going for longer :/
Omg that's exactly it! Whichever one lives in the tree seems to only be doing the part from :06-:10
TIL the thing I've thought was an owl I'd actually just a dove! Had no clue they made that noise. Guess I need to brush up on what exactly an owl sounds like. Thanks raven!
Question for the wildlife people:: I can hear an owl hooting outside. It's 2pm. I've not generally known owls to hoot at this time, although I know some don't always sleep all day. Just feeling like a hoot? Injured? Overheating? Normal?
Very distinct "Hoot-hoo-hoot". Always in triples, second one slightly shorter (fractions of a second) than the first and last one. It's been intermittent since I woke up about 8:30. Been going about 15 mins this time
If it's free, I say absolutely fuckin go for it. There aren't really any cons at all that I can think of. They'll need to do some wiring obviously, and there'll be a device installed outside somewhere, and I believe usually a new port inside that'll replace your old phone port or whatever you currently use. But there aren't really any disadvantages to it besides needing to find a few hours to be at home for them to install
(If you're in a rental, I don't believe the landlord is actually allowed to say no unless it's heritage registered. If you own, I dunno, you might have a couple of screw holes to patch at most)
I'm glad most home internet has gone unlimited, too. In my comparison spree, I didn't even see any that were limited, though I'm sure they still exist somewhere
My thing that I feel like I got to grow up seeing get better isn't internet speeds, it's mobile data allowances. The first phone plan mum had that I remember anything about had 2gb data for $30 a month. When I got my first phone plan, that climbed up to 5gb for the same price.
When I moved to melbs, I ditched Telstra and doubled it at Optus with 10gb a month. I switched to boost for a little while who were offering 15 a month. Then when I turned 14 and could sign up for Amaysim, I switched to them and started getting 30 a month. Then after I'd been with them for a year, they just all of a sudden upgraded me to 55gb a month at no extra cost. I've only ever been on a $30/mo plan.
Having to keep an eye on data usage was fun haha. Even when I was on 10gb, I had to setup a little thing on my phone that would automatically turn my data off every 100mb so I would be more aware of my usage. I never had any left by renewal time, which means I had to have used an average of 280mb per day. Not a lot without wifi
Is that upload or download? By Australian standards, that's acceptable. 50 up is about as good as you'll get for now. 50 down isn't the best, but should be fine for one or two people who only make light usage of it mixed with the occasional Netflix
You probably have room to upgrade though, unless you're on truly ancient technology
