Seems like he’s been doing his thing for the entire existence of the internet. Silly little flash animations and games in the early 2000’s and now his ‘true facts’ of animals videos. Seems to keep true to his own style, ever evolving as it may be, but always similar- and maybe thats what I find comforting- he’s been there for most of the 20+ years I’ve been ‘surfin the web’, as the kids like to say.

I don’t know how I first heard them, but the Pogues have been a favorite of mine for a while. ‘The repeal of the licensing laws’ is the only piece of music I can play. On the tin whistle at that.

I can only speak to my experience on the west coast of the US, but it seems the Pogues in general aren’t well known, let alone this gem.

Because it’s a crowded parking lot. People are getting pissy and frustrated because they can’t find a spot to do this stupid shopping…they didn’t even want to come now, but that stupid BBQ is later, so they have to come when it’s super busy. And that freakin guy went the wrong way and got that spot they were trying to get…

A little moment of kindness and acknowledgement is sometimes enough to reset the spiral of negativity and anger.

Or I’ve really got to poop, as previously mentioned.

Perhaps it’s more of a “hey, parking is hard to come by in this neighborhood.. Somewhere I had read, or a commentator mentioned in passing, that it was held so late so as not to interfere with the regular traffic. That is, they agreed on a time where the fewest people would be on the strip, trying to go spend money somewhere.

I’ve been using Wipr for a long while now, seems to be fairly light weight. Haven’t noticed any slowing really. Also dark night and Amplosion extensions.

Wipr is one of the few app I’ve paid for as it seems to just work.

It’d be nice to be able to use whatever messaging app without having to have other people switch too. In other words, I haven’t tried it, but would like to.

Nor do they feel empowered to find a job they are good at or want to do, improving quality, efficiency, productivity, etc. because the job they have “has insurance benefits”. Even if it’s pure misery.

That or when people assume you’re your kids grandpa. I’m only 40, just…so… tired.
