I would say profanity nowadays though is a lot less taboo. It's been normalized in culture (hip hop, city culture, punk subculture) and a lot of people are less religious nowadays.

Does anyone else's search on lemmy actually work as expected? I feel like it never finds anything really relevant. I can search for audio interfaces for example and all the first results are about software in general and not actually the hardware component.

Most of the US is a culture pot so the food I like is not really local.

The only things I can think of as a state famous thing is that San Francisco, California is known for sourdough, and Seattle, Washington is kinda known for the Seattle (Hot) Dog.
