  • That’s an assumption you’re making and then simply declaring to be self-evident.

It's self evident to anyone who reads the things that have been released regarding past events.

The US government has consistently relied on misleading it's populace as a tactic. If you genuinely don't believe this and want examples to digest with an open mind, id be glad to throw some out.

  • Chances that a US 3 letter agency has conducted clandestine operations within the country (aimed at misleading it's own populace) in the past 5 years are pretty much a certainty.

Speculation is pretty much all one can do for these because the evidence is deliberately and professionally hidden. Such evidence may never be available to the public and usually takes time to surface.

  • I see it as your typical big investor bait and switch. Start off with promise, and then once you have society hooked and it's necessary for businesses normal everyday functions, they remove the value by increasing cc fees. It's already happening.

Maybe one day we'll get credit cards with screens for ads. Watch an ad to swipe your card today 🙂

  • I can't imagine the fucked up shit that would happen if the central bankers ever got their hands on a centralized digital currency. No conspiracy or illuminati shit, just out of general enshitification it would end badly for the workers.

  • Yeah, preposterous bills written with no intention to actually pass have been part of the game for quite some time.

I guess the crazy part is that now you have to check up on them.

I think the other hand is telling every other appendage to make a bunch of noise while it loots the country to answer your question.

  • I think it was CS Lewis that said that ultimately, the only expression of free will is to choose to love God.

Most of the core questions of life are answered paradoxically. If there was a simple answer, the questions would need not be asked.

  • I'd like to take the part of the baby churning plan where a homemaker is part of each household. Like, subtract the misogyny where it's automatically assumed it would be the woman but households with children take a lot of work.

  • Yeah I read somewhere that, in Russian culture, the more absurd the cover up story the more insulting it is meant to be for the victim.

Like if someone "shot themselves 3 times in the back of the head then fell out of a window". Maybe Epstein fits into that too

  • One of lessons of the Bible (from what I gather anyway) is that all humans are corrupt-able and will err. Therefore, all organizations that wield any power at all are subject to human corruption. Indeed, this is how we think of organizations in a secular light.

If you're looking for the religious teachings or church organizations that are free from the sins they denounce, you won't find them, because human beings cannot keep themselves from temptation indefinitely.

  • I’m asking why as a country, a state, or a community anyone would want illegal immigration

I think you're already there but the illegal immigrants are here because corporations benefit from the desperate cheap labor. Both parties largely turn a blind eye to the trickle and talk and talk about what to do. I've yet to see a proposal where corporations or their leadership face consequences if they're found to be employing illegal immigrants.

  • I totally agree with your take on how deportations don't help.

To play both sides, a lot of immigrants choose to work here for low wages in order to send money back to their families from their home country. They endure horrible conditions and don't expect much social mobility. Their families usually come from countries hurt by neo capitalism so I get why rekorse criticizes their role as being morally dubious for the citizens of the host country.
