  • You can group Gnome Apps in their launching tool. (Same as you group and name apps on Android, just drag one onto another) Its a different idea right. Hit super key and start typing or select the app. Maybe Plasma is more what you want where everything is customizable.

  • Anecdotely the stoners I know do eat shitty food. I believe their exists a blackhole that's hard to get out of. You feel shitty or stressed, smoke, eat shitty food because motivation is gone to do other things, feel shitty the next day because your body is surviving on garbage calories, repeat.

I had a family member that needed mental health care, first thing they did was alter the diet and check vitimin levels, because its hard to get mentally well if you aren't physically well.

  • Its a 2010 IOMega Home media hard drive, with OEM OS wiped off, and Debian imstalled. 32 bit armv6 board. Since it only has 256Mb the 3.12 kernel is the latest that would install, newer give errors about size, so I have it blocked from internet access. But you can see from the screen capture that once running is barely takes up 30% of that 256MB. Music streaming was my last use, previously was movie streaming using twonky until we got a 4k TV. Image is a few months back when it wasrunning openmediavault but I built a new server recently and this might just become a ups monitor or something. PS my date is wrong LOL 01 09 2025 vs 09 01 2025 I assume is what I did.

  • Then that's fair, if it's a friend. If its a random person they may feel you should ask the teacher directly. But I may have a dated view since we had no way to communicate with the teacher when I was in school, other than in class.

  • Follow your passion, but also be practical. For example art was my passion, but I realized at Uni that I wasn't going to make a living at it so went into trades/engineering. I also enjoyed the C64 programming.

But now I get to use my keen art eye for building some neat 3d CAD renderings and sharp looking PowerPoint's for corporate presentations. And I'm not a real coder, but the basic functions I can build into our CAD software to automate design work and configurations, based on designer value entries.

  • We have guns in Canada. I went hunting with my dad, there is a certain distance from the city you need to be for firing a gun. Those in more remote areas of Canada have guns for all the things you stated. My neighbour in our city, has about 8 guns; hand guns, long guns. People think Canada doesn't have guns because we don't flaunt them as our lifestyle.

  • While monolithic may not be the keep is simple rule aimed for in originally in Unix/Linux, I wonder if it even matters....is there something really gained by init systems that make a difference for the average Linux user?
