  • I randomly started playing Death Stranding again. I've finished it before a few years ago and it's a great game but playing it now on hard difficulty with no assists items or lethal weapons makes it more survival like and it is even better.

  • consoles are a big source of e-waste

Surely pc components are an equal source of e-waste? Personally I think PC gaming is in a weird place with all the unnecessary RGB obsession and endless consumerism of upgrades.

    presumably already existing

I think you'd be surprised how uninterested the average person is in owning and using a pc nowadays so we can't easily assume that.

    lose their relevance over time

Also applies to pc gaming... It's not like consoles stop working when a new one is released.

Anyway I'm not here to argue for one or the other as they can just happily coexist.

  • I have a Series S and quick resume and backward compatibility are the best features. The current generation is generally underwhelming though so I'm not surprised if pc gaming is on the rise.

  • It's not like there needs to be a winner here. Console or PC gaming is just a personal preference and will always coexist.

  • Some of the campaign missions are really good with a nice variety too. I've been re-playing some on the hardest difficulty and it's a real time hog but good fun to spend 2 hours on a mission!

  • Call to Arms: Gates of Hell Ostfront

  • I haven't checked recently but last I heard HW3 was not good. Homeworld is one of the best of all time and even Deserts of Kharak is very good too.

  • It's not all about performance and the price of what you suggest is triple that of a 5600G.

I probably shouldn't have used the word "upgrade".

  • I don't collect anymore. I do still have a small amount of stuff that I enjoy but overall it's too expensive, not enough space, unreliable media etc...

  • I was recently thinking of changing to a 5600G or something to replace my 3600X + R9 390 combo. The GPU is so power hungry, runs very hot and is noisy that an AGPU would be an interesting upgrade.

  • Football Manager has taken hold of me...

So far I've promoted from 6th to 5th tier, stayed mid-low table for another season and now I'm aiming for a top 10.

Also finally have some decent youth players to work with. I really need to improve the first team too as almost everyone underperformed last season.

I don't even consider myself a huge fan of the sport but I love the management part of it.

  • Something like re-gifting games and/or a way to trade them back to the storefront (discount % of future purchases etc.) would be interesting.

  • Squad and Squad 44 but if you think 8k players is dead then they are maybe not for you.

  • Tell that to the players...

  • I'm done with consoles now. I'll keep what I have but if the current generation is anything to go by it is just not worth bothering anymore.

  • I play games with my wife every now and then and it's great. I wouldn't say regularly but every few months we'll play something like State of Decay 2 or Astroneer and get really in to it for a week.

  • Not had a chance yet but I'll give a quick update when I do.

  • As long as it stays customisable I'm fine with it.

I mostly play on the Xbox anyway even though the dashboard is frustratingly full of ads and basically all customisation was removed...

  • I have claimed most of the games and some have been real gems. I've bought a few games too because they were the cheapest option.

Personally I don't have a problem with the Epic launcher as it's just a launcher which is fine by me. I use GOG Galaxy anyway and I'm not a fan of Steam either so don't care about that aspect.

  • I don't really bother but I do have some related stuff like unofficial patches and fan remakes/mods of my favourite games.
