Yeah, it's adjustments each time - moving the teeth in different directions. But appointments are usually no more than 15 minutes, so it's definitely not in depth!
I love where we live, but this is definitely one of the downsides!
Fascinating read - interesting that the origin of the hack is not yet known (or at least, released). I wonder what the stats are on these sorts of exploits in OSS - the concept relies so much on trust and individuals.
Day trip to Nelson for Monster Number 1 and I today - we're 15 months into his orthodontic treatment, with trips up every six weeks or so. It seemed like a good idea at the time 😂
On my more optimistic days I see a future where plentiful, cheap energy (ie fusion) can drive technology that will halt, perhaps even reverse the damage we've done. And perhaps that's even compatible with capitalism, as there are potential profits to be made.
More often though I see a difficult, painful future for the human species, with massive famines, human displacement and wars over the resources that remain. I hope I'm wrong.
Literally just finished reading the RNZ take on this. Very interesting to compare vs this Newshub one - a lot less doom and gloom; a lot more 'does it really matter'?
100% this. I always picture Agent Smith from Matrix Revolutions - "MORE!" .
I had a brilliant home server set up about 15 years back with a Usenet subscription, SABnzbd Sickbeard, Couchpotato, Sonaar etc. Might be time to check out the modern versions and put something back together. Sigh.
Had to have the "Porn Discussion" with my 14 year old. Bloody hilarious really, he was mortified. Poor little bugger... Totally unrelated note: did you know that Kindles have a basic web browser that can display grainy, grayscale images?!? 😂
Aww Cheers. It's a fun group to be part of. I'm part of NZ CaveSAR as well - they are a seriously impressive group of people. I'm always left in awe whenever I'm around them. Fearless.
