Will Tariffs Increase Switch 2's Price? Why The Console And Games Are So Expensive

  • All the goods that Trump excempts from tarrifs is tipping his hand. If I were one of these countries like Taiwan where semiconductors are exempted, I would apply an export duty equal to the tarrif on other goods. If you want to tarrif me fine but you're going to have to commit.

    EDIT: Just saw in another thread it's literally just trade deficit divided by exports from that country.....holy shit.

  • Oh wow, that cartridge thing is actually just the worst of both worlds. I'm similar to you, my last console was a Mega Drive but I did get a Switch for my wife and played a couple of games on it which was fun. Not really keen on giving Nintendo more money though.
