He was basically absent from her life, i don't think the outcomes could be attributed to musk positive or negative. She obviously had to find her own way with a negligent and abusive parent, who just happened to end up being the richest man in history.
Arlington Cemetery website is now "Male Whites Only"
Famously when the nazis demanded obedience they did so not by making laws outright banning speech. They simply made sure that nobody in any position of power would risk drawing attention and behave accordingly "of his own will"
Its brilliant that a hundred years later people with access to any human in the world just... do the exact same shit Germans did.
From They Thought They Were Free, the Germans 1933 - 1945
[...] "I gave them French and English literature, more so than before, although to do so was one of those vague betrayals of the ‘new spirit’; still, it had not been specifically forbidden. Of course, I always said, to protect myself (but I said it in such a way that I hoped the students would see through it), that the foreign works we read were only a reflection of German literature. So, you see, Herr Professor, a man could show some—some independence, even, so to say, secretly.” “I understand,” I said. “Many of the students—the best of them—understood what was going on in all this. It was a sort of dumb-show game that we were all playing, I with them. The worst effect, I think, was that it made them cynical, the best ones. But, then, it made the teachers cynical, too. I think the classroom in those years was one of the causes of the cynicism you see in the best young men and women in Germany today.”
[...]
"Tell me, Herr Hildebrandt, what about [Shakespeare's]Julius Caesar?”
He smiled very, very wryly. “Julius Caesar? No … no.”
“Was it forbidden?”
“Not that I remember. But that is not the way it was. Everything was not regulated specifically, ever. It was not like that at all. Choices were left to the teacher’s discretion, within the ‘German spirit.’ That was all that was necessary; the teacher had only to be discreet. If he himself wondered at all whether anyone would object to a given book, he would be wise not to use it. This was a much more powerful form of intimidation, you see, than any fixed list of acceptable or unacceptable writings. The way it was done was, from the point of view of the regime, remarkably clever and effective. The teacher had to make the choices and risk the consequences; this made him all the more cautious.”

I, too, have used lemmings as a term to describe users here and I think it's cute and endearing. We can decide as a group once we're all at this guys property lmao
Thats crazy work. There was no motive determined bc he was just some psycho gambler with a gun obsession. Who does that sound like? A right winger.
Don't ask me, go look at the FBI's own statistics (if they still exist) on domestic terrorism and something insane like 90% of the violent offenses are committed by right wing terrorists. The murders, bombings, and assaults are all overwhelmingly right wing.
The conversation at hand is that terrorism is committed by conservatives who don't care about the lives of people they don't view as people. My bad, I forgot that one terrorist hadn't written a manifesto.

I couldn't tell you what to do with it but if I move to europe I will work on your commune and help with whatever as long as you'll have me lol
25 decares is a lot of land, you could have an entire city there. If the land is viable for farming you could allot enough of it to produce whatever you would need to sustain the population of the property, and have the rest of the place developed into living spaces and recreational areas like you said. A sports park, little golf course, botanical gardens, animal sanctuaries. Thats stuff for citizens to do besides meditate.
I mean, this is a real opportunity to create generational prosperity not just for you but for everyone who is involved in building it up. I hope that, whatever happens, you keep it safe from people who would see it turned into more wealthy suburbs or a cash crop operation that kills the soil in a generation.
Good luck to you on your journey and, again, I'd be thrilled to be a part of it
You just, like, dont get it man. He's trying to have better bad ideas.
You can't see the vision
600 mass shootings a year. 20+ targeted white nationalist massacres have happened since 2016, including the largest mass casualty event in american history in vegas, and none of those people were terrorists.
Yet, every one of them had a manifesto, and it was covered in every new outlet. No terrorist.
Let's call it like it is– this is nazi germany now. Brownshirts were deputized eight years ago and people only just made the connection when he pardoned them for trying to help his coup. (Something totally unprecedented and definitely not a direct parallel to weimar germany both allowing Hitler to create a gang of street fighters but also allowing them to do the putsch, and then giving Hitler a three year jail sentence, after which he reassembled the brown shirts and started the SA who then started killing Communists and burning down synagogues once Hitler won the chancellorship)
Oh man this is even better than I hoped
This has to be a speedrun record for the maga->exposed pedo pipeline any%
Do people still calculate mooches?
I agree, I'm not saying it shouldn't be posted but the text of the post reads like this was introduced to the house of Representatives in congress not just in the MN house.
We don't need to be confusing people into thinking it's already hopeless, they're trying this in Minnesota and it will fail.
The fact they're trying is important to recognize but we also have to point out that it is a single instance and people can go harass the singular state rep who introduced it instead of thinking it's in congress and there's no way to contact enough reps to block the bill.
Hope that clarifies my position a bit. Name and shame. Make it clear that this is in a state house. That is where the real evil is going to be commited (states right to what?) But let's make it so that the people in that state are able to be activated and called to action as opposed to me seeing this in Georgia and thinking "oh great I can't influence this decision if it's happening in Washington."
Maybe I read the article and see it's for Minnesota, and make the comment saying we should point out it's just in Minnesota. OR I just read the headline, read the comments freaking out without the context, and go tell my friends "hey congress is introducing a bill to make criticizing trump a mental illness" completely devaluing the actual harm being done by misrepresenting it.
No shade to OP, just trying to be pragmatic.
We should have been doing it a lot more. I might have been fooled into believing america was a great country if we put the actual people committing harm against the country and it's people on death row instead the guy who killed two people because they've been a victim of systemic abuse their entire life. Systemic abuses enabled by the very same capitalists that get fined2% of their profit for creating the conditions for 400 murderers to be forged in this hell-fire.
When the baby formula shortage happened all those ceos should have been on federal trial for crimes against humanity but nooooooo they have a responsibility to shareholders that makes them inculpable for material harm their business decisions caused millions of infants.
At least in China they execute the billionaire that poisons formula for more profit.

I don't know if this is true on not but in the settings for your account it has a toggle to not allow bot comments to show up. It might only work for people that select the "bot account" option but just in case it's an auto filter I'd say try it out, I have felt like I've not seen bots since moving over from reddit
As did Ford and GE, and... something about a business plot?
This is for Minnesota, why is that not in the headline or post? I don't think Minnesota will pass this
Voice of america was the radio free guys right?
What's absolutely insane about it is that we literally got here by accident. Some homeopathic crank was selling diluted poison water to people, so he created a double blind test to prove his "medicine" was actually better than doing nothing and telling someone they would feel better, which ended up proving him absolutely wrong conclusively along with creating the wellspring of all medical advancement in the last century.
Behind the bastards did a series on the guy who invented this, and how he was a charlatan who's only achievement was creating the means of proving himself wrong lmao Added a link if you want to check it out
Cautiously going to say I'll take your word for it but I'm not putting my faith in anything except my own abilities to agitate, organize, and disrupt govt functions. If there were a mechanism for creating real change able to be used by congress we wouldn't be allowed to vote. System's working perfectly. It lasted long enough to let a despot and his cronies infect every aspect of the system, just to tear it down and replace it with the open face nazi government the oligarchs have been demanding since 1865.
These books should have been required reading for the last 80 years. The fact you can graduate high school without being able to articulate how the Nazis controlled Germany is an act of evil against every citizen who enters the world.
It was not some ubiquitous evil spirit that usurped the free will of Germans, it was a choice and a set of instructions in which disobeying would lead to death.
Like the passage you quoted - it is a self perpetuating social structure requiring obedience while demanding that "you know what you're doing is wrong in the moral eye of the government" i/e "we don't have to say it's illegal to teach kids to think, we just have to make sure that the moment a kid starts thinking they know to report you for subversion"
Education around nazi germany starts and ends with "they were ontologically evil" and were leading a unified Germany. This is stated as fact without any context of how the election in which they gained control of the government was won with 30% of the vote. We aren't taught that the liberal politicians voted alongside nazis to implement these laws that dissolved the German constitution and gave Hitler full control. We aren't told that they did this "to avoid the disaster of a failed government" and to not be targeted for retribution after the laws passed.
Instead we are given a Disney movie story of Hitler unilaterally usurping supreme control over every German, only being stopped by the heroes of the allied powers once we learned how terrible it was.
No record of the NYT platforming nazis, the German American bund, the resistance to joining ww2, the business plot, chamberlain, Henry Ford NONE of that history is taught.
And now we see why.
The university said it’s reviewing the Trump administration’s letter. “We are committed at all times to advancing our mission, supporting our students, and addressing all forms of discrimination and hatred on our campus,” it said in a statement.
Yep, it's done. We're already right here: "The new Nazi commissar wasted no time on the amenities. He immediately announced that Jews would be forbidden to enter university premises and would be dismissed without salary on March 15; this was something that no one had thought possible despite the Nazis’ loud antisemitism. Then he launched into a tirade of abuse, filth, and four-letter words such as had been heard rarely even in the barracks and never before in academia. . . . [He] pointed his finger at one department chairman after another and said, “You either do what I tell you or we’ll put you into a concentration camp.” There was silence when he finished; everybody waited for the distinguished biochemist-physiologist. The great liberal got up, cleared his throat, and said, “Very interesting, Mr. Commissar, and in some respects very illuminating: but one point I didn’t get too clearly. Will there be more money for research in physiology?"" https://www.facinghistory.org/resource-library/controlling-universities#%3A%7E%3Atext=The+new+Nazi%2Cresearch+in+physiology%3F%22

Did I miss something this week?
Sorry for getting heated, I initially read it as nitpicking but scaled back my reply when I read it a few more times to fully understand what you were saying.
When I wrote the original comment I was just rattling off the most well known events and I honestly didn't remember the Vegas shooter having not disclosed a motive or left clues.
At first it seemed like an attempt to derail the conversation but I went and doubled checked all the reporting to make sure I didn't have it confused. You were right, and I got defensive. I didn't want the heart of the message to get lost in the combing through of each individual culprits motive.
Either way, the dude was a piece of shit, and there's 400 more open neonazis committing violence to pull from the database if we really want to make sure all our t's are crossed and I's dotted.
Thanks for the reply, and for understanding where I was coming from. I did not mean to come off condescending.
