Won't most of these get you the warning from youtube? I stopped using YouTube except libretube and newpip sb because of it. I don't want any of my accounts banned.
I mean I'd rather people have freedom over their property (aka their servers) than one entity be able to dictate to the entirety of lemmy.
If I set up a server my instance will have my rules. I won't allow NSFW nor will I allow any hate speech or promotion of extremist views such as nazism, fascism, imperialism, anything encouraging violence or threats, religious extremist beliefs such as sharia law and fundamental Christianity etc.
I would not federate with any instances that break MY rules. That's why it's my instance. I made it, maintain it. My interest isn't getting as many people on my instance as possible but to give a space for people who want to participate on that kind of instance. Some instances will focus on hating LGBT and being sexist etc and while that's horrific they're allowed to do whatever as long as it doesn't break lemmy TOS which i honestly don't know what it is.
Anyway, it's weird to see anyone label freedom to do what one wants with their property as being dictators.
Just like star trek often talks about ww2 and nazis and are rightfully portrayed as the bad guys. Just because the riots were more recent doesn't make them any less relevant.
It's concerning how there is no AED/CPR training in school considering everyone is likely to run into a situation where a family member will need resuscitation while waiting for an ambulance. Not knowing when and how to do cpr, how to use a defibrillator (portable ones give audio instructions) etc is so dangerous because by the time an ambulance gets there it may be too late.
Also I wish AED were more readily available and easily located. May even be a good idea to pitch in with neighbors and make a locked box that's easily accessible.
I mean at least in Europe when you use a bidet you use soap and then still dry a few times with tp. These contraptions are good to soften the ass crud but you'll still need to wipe it off with tp.
It's almost as if they're getting the result they were looking for. People saying they disagree with their choice are exactly the people they're trying to avoid lol.
Well I did both weed and working out and I can't say weed is necessarily healthy. I'm such much healthier working out and I used to be a constant daily stoner for 13 years lol.
For me at least the experience is closer to a workout than doing any kind of drug as I'm actually socializing and interacting instead of doomscrolling. The lemmy communities have been chiller than a stoner on the beach lol!
My grandmother had a seat that had a permanent padding on it. Wasn't fuzzy but I kept wondering how long it had been there as I remember it being there in 1987. They loved these cozies in Japan though and at first I thought it was a novel idea since we'd freeze our butts in the winter but shortly after I got mine I threw it away. Just gross.
Yup. I think it's fun and it makes me explore more. Makes me check out different instances and actually actively look for things I like instead of passive doomscrolling.
Well one instance shouldn't monopolize a community. If it takes a dump on one instance at least it exists elsewhere. If I want to start up my own cat community I don't see why that's an issue.
