You need to think of things you might want to build. Try building software that nobody ever has, try fixing issues in current software using git. You can find lots of python program in GitHub, waiting for contributions.
That's how I learnt. If you want to learn and use C++, try building software that interacts with the real world with Arduino, try contributing to the Linux kernel or try making simple games using C++ in Godot.
uhh. Then OP just forgot it probably because it wasn't that exciting to OP or something. I've even forgotten everything about some mangas and animes after a few years of watching it because I watched/read alot of other things after it.
You'll mostly remember the start and the end of a story than the middle of the story (unless the middle of the story has something more memorable than the ending and the beginning of a story).

But both of them seem like things that can never become true (especially the first point), so yes. I am hoping for PeerTube to get attention when YouTube starts breaking down.
Then use what you learnt from that tutorial and make something similar or entirely new, without tutorials.
