You decided to spam downvote multiple posts before you were banned from our forum. Then you continued to do so, after being blocked and banned, on my reasonable comments against racism, transphobia, and about law outside the forum (including one comment that was nothing but the text of the 14th amendment), proving yourself in the process to be a racist, a transphobe, and an absolutely idiotic fascist who doesn't realize that kbin lets everyone see what you downvote.
I feel it's my civic duty to call your dumbass out, as you're clearly an unhinged, vengeance driven stalker who's likely doing the same or worse to other users.
As to the reverse trolling, I'll know I'm out of your head when you stop spam downvoting (which is really a useless effort, as you're gonna need at least another 2k downvotes a week to keep up). Calling you out on your dumbass nazi self is just icing on the cake.
Just living rent free in your head, lil man. Go ahead and have your nap now. You must be tired after that big tantrum of downvote spam, and you gotta start early tomorrow if you're gonna keep up.
Kbin combines both, and does a good job segregating the different types of content. Lemmy reddit style posts are collected under the Threads category, and Mastodon Toots (tweet style) are collected under the Microblog category. The software is new, so there are bugs, but it provides a wider experience than either platform on its own. If you're looking for a smaller instance running on kbin software, I also recommend https://kglitch.social.
Looks like the non-profit founded by Higgins and Mehta is active in promoting this law on a worldwide scale, with ongoing legislative efforts in Spain, Finland, and Brazil. Here's their action page to get involved and offer support.
Hearty upvote to that, and have a boost too. I invite anyone who disagrees to schedule their next surgery with Ted Cruz and see how far that gets you.
And for my two favorite trolls who chose to spam downvote my comment above:
Big congrats @someguy and @cre0 - not only have you been outed as racists and idiots who literally downvote the text of the Constitution in my previous comments, you've now tagged yourselves as transphobes as well. Keep digging, it's good for everyone to know who the bigots are.
It's not just the Russians and Chinese. In rural wine country where I grew up, more than a third of the properties have been bought up by millionaires that visit maybe two weeks out of the year, hollowing out the town, and gentrifying anyone who was middle class or lower out of the area. Another third of what used to be rental housing is now air BnBs. Teachers and EMTs can't afford to live within an hour drive, so public service quality has cratered. None of the kids I went to high school with still live in the area (although many commute in, as they tried to make their careers where they grew up).
While recently we've seen more Chinese, the Russians haven't really made an impact. The trend (in this locality), however, was absolutely started by New York financiers, and had been ongoing for at least 15 years before foreign investment capital showed up.
This is what irritates me when people say there isn't enough housing supply. There are 16 million vacant homes in the US. It's not a supply issue. It's a class and economic issue.
I know it sounds radical, but I support a law would force landlords with property that has been vacant more than six months to offer it to section 8 recipients as a rental. I think this would cause a significant positive adjustment in the market, making housing more affordable and expanding access to those who need it most. Many landlords refuse to rent to section 8 whatsoever, so if they still want to avoid those tenants, they'd have to ensure their property is rented, opening up more housing and driving down rents.
It looks like the key in the ruling here was that the AI created the work without the participation of a human artist. Thaler tried to let his AI, "The Creativity Machine" register the copyright, and then claim that he owned it under the work for hire clause.
The case was ridiculous, to be honest. It was clearly designed as an attempt to give corporations building these AI's the copyrights to the work they generate from stealing the work of thousands of human artists. What's clever here is that they were also trying to sideline the human operators of AI prompts. If the AI, and not the human prompting it, owns the copyright, then the company that owns that AI owns the copyright - even if the human operator doesn't work for them.
You can see how open this interpretation would be to abuse by corporate owners of AI, and why Thaler brought the case, which was clearly designed to set a precedent that would allow any media company with an AI to cut out human content creators entirely.
The ruling is excellent, and I'm glad Judge Howell saw the nuances and the long term effects of her decision. I was particularly happy to see this part:
In March, the copyright office affirmed that most works generated by AI aren’t copyrightable but clarified that AI-assisted materials qualify for protection in certain instances. An application for a work created with the help of AI can support a copyright claim if a human “selected or arranged” it in a “sufficiently creative way that the resulting work constitutes an original work of authorship,” it said.
This protects a wide swath of artists who are doing incredible AI assisted work, without granting media companies a stranglehold on the output of the new technology.
@spaceghoti 's been posting about GOP bullshit like a machine. I think they deserve the room to rant on this one. It's at the carton villainy level of stupid, and they've gotta be suffering PTSD at this point after slogging through all that idiocy.
Besides, now I'm curious as to who ElliotRodgerFan48 is and whether or not they're trollable on the Fediverse.

It actually might - check out the second half of the article:
There are minimally six aspects revealed in the latest indictment that we believe justify Georgia – under Section 3 of the post-Civil War Fourteenth Amendment – keeping Trump off the ballot:
The racketeering scheme was a multifaceted attempt to subvert Georgia’s own part of the 2020 electoral process;
The officials on the receiving end of the unsuccessful racketeering scheme were elected and appointed Georgia officials. …
… whose actions to reject election subversion vindicated their own oaths to uphold the Constitution and laws of the United States as well as Georgia’s;
Most of these officials were and are Republicans – including Secretary of State Brad Raffensberger, Governor Brian Kemp and former Lt. Governor Geoff Duncan;
These officials will, in 2024 as in 2020, collectively determine who is qualified to be on Georgia’s presidential ballot; and
These officials’ testimony, and related evidence, is at the heart of the proof of the Georgia racketeering case against Trump.
In other words, the evidence to convict Trump in the Georgia racketeering case is the same evidence, coming from the same Georgia officials, who will be involved in determining whether, under the 14th Amendment, Trump is qualified to be on the 2024 presidential ballot – or not.
Little if any additional evidence or proceedings are needed. The Georgia officials already hold that evidence, because much of it comes from them. They don’t need a trial to establish what they already know.
How could Trump avoid this happening? A quick trial date in Atlanta with an acquittal on all counts might do it, but this runs counter to his strategy to delay all the pending criminal cases until after the 2024 election.
With no preelection trial, there will likely be no Trump on the 2024 Georgia ballot, and no chance for him to win Georgia’s 2024 electoral college votes.
Once Georgia bars him, other states may follow. That would leave Trump with no way to credibly appear on the ballot in all 50 states, giving him no chance to win the electoral votes required to claim the White House.
This indicates that the GOP of GA are done with Trump after he dragged Raffensberger through the mud and cost them a Senate seat. They might just be petty enough to give him the middle finger here. Those "good ole boys" down south never forget a slight.
I'm not surprised. Antioch/Pittsburg is right at the line where the Bay Area starts turning into the Trump country of the Central Valley, and despite its reputation of being a bastion of liberal thought, Northern California has a really ugly undercurrent of "good ole boy" racism the further you go east and north.
Gameplay Performance Price Expected time playing Graphics
I agree with your point in the post, especially after playing Darktide, which chucked performance out the window for fog and lighting effects. It doesn't matter how pretty your game is if it's rendering at 3fps.
