  • I appreciate the suggestion and I'm not trying to say it's bad, just explain what I mean. Actually making my own cheese and crackers is already more steps and a dish into the mix. I don't love lunchables because I think they're fine dining I love them because some days I have the capacity to do exactly two things, and that might end up being "buy lunchable, open lunchable". The nostalgic 'life is simple' feel they give me can sometimes boost my mood enough to get more done in a day which is unique to just a couple of foods for me. When I am normal sad I do things like you're suggesting and I've lived with a chef for over a decade so I've got a lot of great value to effort knowledge there

  • Growing up in Idaho there was a big campaign to improve literacy. Went from being one of the most illiterate states to middle of the pack (looks like they're even a bit better currently). The public schools were not great then but they were trying in a lot of ways. I'm not surprised but it saddens me to see Idaho diving back into abandoning education. Must not have liked that some people grew up able to think critically about the terrible politics there

  • I'm in my 30s and I still love them. When I'm really sad I get one and it makes me feel like my life is simpler than it is and helps calm me down, gives me something to do with my hands while not requiring me to be functioning well enough to actually cook. They are trash though can't argue that lol

  • *cries in Seattle

It's not uncommon for the low option here to be 18 or 20% even, 15% is depressingly common. My favorite though is if the purchase is small enough they switch to dollars instead of percent. $6 coffee? Options for tipping are $1, 2, 3

  • I like wired headphones it has nothing to do with modernity but the functionality I prefer. I dislike dealing with battery life. Same reason I have a wired keyboard. Also I've been in power outages that lasted long enough I wished I had a wall phone to do things like let my family know I hadn't frozen to death or to call into work to update them so I was less likely to be fired. Me wanting a company to sell wired devices doesn't affect your ability to buy wireless devices this isn't a zero sum game, no need to be hostile.

  • It took them five years to whip up a measly 20 pages of dipshittery? Magic space daddy is free to come down here himself and choke on my girl dick if they take such offense to me. Show up quick though I've got The Surgery™️ in two months. My unique dignity is I do whatever the fuck I want to with my body, and if god didn't want that for me shouldn't have given me the damn thing in the first place

Also I love that they're like "don't modify your precious god given body!" and in the same breath say intersex people should be "corrected". Fuck these ghouls and fuck anyone who supports them

  • A new partner I had impulse invited me and I figured whether that went good or bad it would be interesting. We didn't have much of a plan but spent a week running around anywhere that sounded interesting to us. Jiufen and Taroko Gorge were my favorite parts, and seeing how walkable cities can be

People there are so nice right? That stunned me just how kind and helpful people were

  • I think the world could be better without people vocally losing their minds over some harmless fun. Ignore it if you don't like and move on, or if you're so wrapped up in being online that you can't ignore it I suggest you touch grass
