  • Solomon and his "Ecclesiastes" (I don't think the Qur'an counts if you truly believe it to be divinely inspired/dictated, and I also read Solomon first so...). If you haven't read it, go do so. Before your favourite Western existentialist, before Nietzsche and copycats, there was Solomon.

Edit: and what Solomon posited/understood was that life is ultimately meaningless, so find satisfaction in your toil, eat, drink and be merry and enjoy your meaningless life with your spouse. But before everything and, after all has been said: fear God and keep his commandments, for this is your whole duty (Ecclesiastes assumes you know about/is for those who believe in Abrahamic/Mosaic monotheism). Not too revolutionary today, maybe (many most focus on the "eat and drink" part, I guess, lol), but this is not from today and will be relevant forever. I mean, some of you probably quote Ecclesiastes often (nothing new under the sun, the fly in the ointment, there's a time for everything, with much wisdom comes much sorrow, chasing after wind, and many more!) and don't even know it. 😁

  • Some sort of impenetrable energy barrier or whatever that would absorb/reflect whatever fast kinetic blow/projectile would be ideal, IMO. I'd rather have the absorb version so I could just berate them for being violent instead of just getting killed by a bouncing bullet, lol.

  • I've no idea what the discourse is like today but from what I recall:

    • Nintendo: if you really like the Marios, Zeldas, sidescrollers and platformers.
    • Sony: if you like highly cinematic games, action adventure games with good graphics and JRPGs.
    • Microsoft (consoles after Halo 3): if you need the yearly releases of WWE and sports games and you want to support American businesses. Also, at some point, there was Lost Odyssey.

    Have things changed?

  • Hehehe.

Not any anglo/Western forums, at least none that aren't entirely populated by knuckle-dragging, hateful morons. As it tends to happen, whatever middle ground wise position is rarely reached, only the extremes. It's a sensitive topic that involves particularly sensitive people, and I've found I don't really talk about it in public either as it rarely serves any purpose... I don't even personally know any trans person! I do know a locally popular drag queen and have a couple of gay uncles but it's evidently not the same, lol.

  • If the vast majority of people thought about anything that escaped the material world, maybe. As it is, anyone who understands how stupid, gullible, emotional, irrational, selfish and greedy human beings can be (especially those without any sort of moral code, like irreligious hedonists, for instance) and has the money to flood media with propaganda will inevitably make people believe what he or she wants.

The comments here are very idealistic, but I live in reality. I know there's one wise man out of a hundred, the others focus on practical matters and football. Unless you can just snap your fingers and make people, for instance, not be stupid and intellectually lazy enough to vote for a M/BILLIONAIRE "wise leader of the proletariat" (honestly, every time I type something Trump related I wonder how we've made it this far as a species... then I remember the atomic bomb is not even a century old 🤷), then no, you WILL have to censor some folks. Or, said passively, some folks need to be censored... Sadly, in many countries, the ones who do the mass immoral brainwashing also have the political power to silence and incarcerate those who oppose them.
