I don't think you follow Canadian politics very closely.

This is NOT what people voted for. Fuck Carney.

And STILL manages to ADD trillions to the national debt.

The entire basis for the Constitution's Bill of Rights, was to strike a balance between State and Federal power. It is a contract agreed to, by all parties. And contract law is very clear on what happens when one side breaches their contractual obligations.

These threats by Trump constitute a breach of that contract. If the States withholding tax revenue is considered illegal, then so is withholding Federal funding from the States. The State pays for those benefits, through their tax revenue. The Federal government has no right to withhold those benefits, without also voiding the contract that requires payment.

You don't have to pay for services you did not receive.

This is why you can't have rational conversations with Americans.

Compared to the Cybertruck's design, I don't think having a LIDAR antenna on top of the car is so bad.

It literally is. He acted through executive orders alone, and .managed to wipe out billions in debt, in several waves. Unfortunately though, those orders were eventually blocked by Republicans, who challenged them in court...but not before millions of Americans had their debts erased.

1st of all...18% is not a lot of support.

2nd of all...as long as she keeps pushing this idea, there is literally ZERO incentive for the Federal government to invest in any infrastructure projects that include Alberta. That means no new pipelines. No new housing investments. Why would they dump potentially tens of billions of dollars into a province that is actively threatening to cut itself off from the rest of the country? It would be pointless.

This is exactly how Biden managed to forgive millions of people's student loan debts, before Republicans had the chance to stop him in court.

So, they're limiting judges' ability to...checks notes...uphold the Constitution in court?

Unfortunately, in Canada it has little to do with Carney himself, and more to do with keeping the Conservatives out of office. In my riding, it was either vote Liberal or let the Conservatives have the seat.

I have a feeling this will be the last time the Liberals are going to be in power for a long time. Trudeau was bad enough...but this is worse.

If the reports were unclear and it's too early to tell...then by his own "logic", there's no way for him to know if those sites were actually "obliterated" or not.
