  • The Right doesn't care about talking points, that's a Dem notion. The Right's base is compliant, and only seeks information from biased sources, who will never give an objective account. If they haven't seen the hypocrisy by now, they never will.

  • What's crazy is, no, they don't want war. They want to get reelected indefinitely for status and profit, and will say anything to get that. The shit they say incites their followers to want war, and that is advantageous for them.

The politicians know their bluffs will be called, but if they keep people mad and scared, they can keep farming donations and votes from rubes. They've done it for decades. This rhetoric gets stale eventually, so they have to keep amplifying the message, to the point they're now posturing for a civil war they know won't ever come.

Meanwhile, their voters are bashing people on the head with hammers or killing family members because they've been told to be scared for decades, and are now being told to fight back.

  • It's funny, if he never decided to run for president, he could have kept scamming people and assaulting women until he died and no one would have really cared.

Now he's in a position where he has to run again, because it's the only thing that can save him from the consequences of the first time he ran.

  • This is a nothing story. That's not brutal, it's not even mockery. It's a throwaway joke at a circlejerk dinner for politicos.

Article spends a paragraph recounting this BRUTAL TAKEDOWN, then 10 paragraphs recapping Boebert's recent history.

  • It's hard to not sound snarky here, but you could play another system that's not seen as a commodity to be passed around Corps for profit.

I switched a couple years back, and honestly couldn't see going back even before their licensing drama. As a GM, their books are so hard to make work, and expensive for what you get. D&D became too much of a product, and the game has suffered. 3rd party stuff has always had better value and usability compared to WotC books (few exceptions), and other systems give much better support for GM's to actually run the game.

The coolest shit you do in D&D is the stuff you're group comes up with at the table, and you get that with any system. Tencent also can't buy that, so there's nothing stopping you just playing 5th Edition, and not 6th (or One, whatever Marketing ends up calling it).

  • She baked a blue cookie one time or some shit.

Generally, she just encourages her fans to vote, and Republicans know young women don't want anything to with them. They really just want to make it so uncomfortable for Swift to say anything, so they're bringing a preemptive firestorm and hoping she keeps her head down this election season.

  • Raise money and awareness through non-destructive means, start a program, work on the problem yourselves and hope more people join in. Start a fucking tik-tok challenge, I don't know, honestly.

But throwing soup at art is just cringey and makes you look weird. No one is going to be on board with that but other soup-throwers. Then you just have a whole group of people travelling around throwing soup at monuments and nobody knows what the fuck your point is, as evidenced by this comment section.
