  • I think it HAS to be the system, because otherwise prior to this, they would have come to a belief about their colour and shut down anyways.

More than that, shutting down when you know your own colour does not offer them any sort of natural advantage or purpose, it’s a system thing and not an individual thing.

  • “At least one of you is red”

They will all assume that they are the red one because they see no other red ones, but since that assumption is wrong, they will not shut down. They will discover that this is a lie and just assume that the intruder is a liar.

  • “The agreement came a day after the appointment of a new board member, replacing a DeSantis-appointed board chairman who was a Disney critic. Under the deal, covenants and a development agreement Disney supporters on the board made with the company just before the state takeover would be dropped and the new board agreed to operate under an earlier plan.”

Hahahahahaha Let’s read between the lines…

The deal was reached shortly after a DeSantis sycophant was removed from the chair and replaced with “someone”. Not sure who, but that’s a fucking statement. The agreement in the end was “let’s ignore the blank checks the last board wrote on their way out as DeSantis packed the board with assholes and act like this never happened.

“Let’s just go back to our original deal” is the essence of it.

    Disney :5

    DeSantis :0

They wrote it like it was some sort of compromise, but that’s no compromise. That’s “please stop Disney, I can’t take it anymore”

I really really hate that this made me root for Disney because they are an evil corporation, but God damn does it feel good to watch him drown in his own stupidity.

  • Right?

Like the equation doesn’t take a genius.

Rich kid finds out that doing shitty Things have no consequences for rich people.

    What about that required intelligence?

Like, screwing people over in business is bad for your credit score, but what do the rich need a credit score for? Is he taking out a car loan?

  • I think this is the point, because Harvard got rid of the SAT requirement, and then just brought it back.

    It’s a really terrible measure .

But it is an equal measure, despite what it measuring moderately meaningless.

I don’t think we have a better answer yet, because everything else lacks any sort of comparable equivalency .

And I say this as an ADHD sufferer who is at a huge disadvantage on standardised testing

  • TrueNas scale is a little heavier because it is a kubernetes implementation, but it is amazing.

The capabilities and possibilities are spectacular, and the maintenance required to keep all of your applications up-to-date is so easy that I no longer think about it.
