Yup, just started it! I spent a few days wandering around doing side missions, so by the time I got to this point and the title screen popped up, I was so fucking confused.

I initially thought I had failed the whole mission and had to start the game completely over 😂

Sneaking into a hotel room to steal cutting edge military tech with a terrorist conscious locked inside of it from the rebellious son of a CEO who had already stolen it from his own father's company to sell to his fathers competitors..

...also I was wrongfully accused of the resulting patricide when the CEO confronted his son regarding the stolen tech.

It's very telling how many Texans are in this thread with affirmative responses.

As someone who lives in Texas, I agree. I'm not from here, military transplant, but I did set it to my "permanent state" specifically so I could vote here. If I'm being forced to live here, might as well do my part to try and change the fuckery going on.

However, the absolute second that the ink on my DD214 is dry, I will NEVER set foot in this state again. Not purposefully anyhow.

It sucks, because Austin, SATX, and my personal favey fave: Houston, are all fucking awesome cities. But they're not worth it. Not worth it to see how much Texans with money prioritize the dehumanization of immigrants, women, and the LGBTQ+ community.

If money was no object, I've always been smitten with the idea of Canada. I like much cooler weather than Texas provides, and I want nation-wide socialized Healthcare. Surprisingly difficult to immigrate too from what I've seen on a cursory glance though.

Even the military has recognized that certain hairstyles are worse on different ethnicities hair, and has subsequently relaxed the standards since I've been active.

The military, which is all about uniformity and "discipline", can see that different cultures have different hair treatments/needs, and not everything has to be "all Caucasian, all the time".

And yet our K-12 schools can't seem to do that?! Like wtf?

Meh, I'm a M-F daily coffee buyer here. My husband will only drink coffee if we're at breakfast somewhere, and it's just him and I at the house.

I drink plain black gas station coffee though, so my costs are likely negligible to others who prefer more..."fancy" varieties. I pay $1.16 for 20 Oz.

Dutch Bros is giving Starbucks a run for their money here in Texas. Both franchises are PACKED every time I drive past, regardless of time of day. Just...insane drive thru lines. Never had DBs, but I've heard it's decent.

I can't think of anything more metal than subsisting on arsenic, lead, and belladonna mixtures.

I have some kinda mutt who was abandoned by his owner (he was microchipped and we reached out saying we had him and they answered back telling us what a good dog he is and how much joy he'll bring us 🙄)

His original name was Kobe, but neither my husband nor I are basketball fans, so I changed it to "Korbie", as short for Korbel, my favorite cheap fake champagne.

Anyhow, he now gets referred to as "Korbie Porgie Pudding and Pie" or "Korbelicious" (Sung to the tune of "Fergielicious" of course!)

I have a Shiba-Inu mutt named "Konoha" (Yes Naruto dorks, I'm a big fan too) that I refer to as "Coconut" on occasion!

I disagree. She's got a platform that reaches people. If this is the thing that pushes younger people to get out and vote against Trump, then I'm all for it.

Do I think it's short-sighted to vote on what a celebrity says? Sure, and I wouldn't do it. But I'm also interested in US politics, and a lot of people aren't/tune it out. I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth if this is where people find their motivation.

Bruh, I am so fucking sorry that not only does your father seem uncaring in general (going off the "traditional shitty family ways" comment), but the fact that he completely disregarded the very real sacrifice you endured for the United States in general sounds like the most unbelievably frustrating and demoralizing thing ever. I've been fortunate enough to never deploy to a combat zone (all of my deployments have been to friendly zones), and I cannot imagine what you've been through, and how you're contending with a family member disregarding it. I hope you have all the support in the world my dude!
