My family says your an adult the day you enjoy buying adult things. I just recently bought some good knives and glass food storage containers. I was super excited when they arrived. Video games and other fun things are exciting to buy myself but some good knives were next level.
I think the problem is that no one can agree on what makes the world shitty. Some people think the rich should be taxed, some people think other people shouldn't have equal rights. And then other people are purposely using the disagreement to get what they want. It's a mess with no clear fix in sight.
Alcoholic drinks, for a good part of history, were safer to drink than water because its production includes a boiling step that kills bacteria. We know now that you have to boil or treat water before drinking but for most of history alcohol was safer.
I reply all to all work related emails because people will add someone who needs to be aware of what's happening and I may not realize this is important to them. If they don't want to be on the email they can ask me personally and I'll take them off the chain.
I never reply all (or at all) to company update posts (e.g. new hires/promotions/other bs). If you want to congratulate them do it privately. The whole company doesn't care.
If by a "mixed way" you mean 1-2 days in office, that would never work for a lot of people for the reasons below.
You have to commute those days.
You have to find child care but it's not consistent so your possibly paying more per day for the few days vs. getting a good rate for weekly.
You have to carry all your equipment with you. (I personally have to carry my laptop plus the equipment I support which takes like 2 trips from the car to my desk plus time to set everything up.)
Not all of team comes in the same day/same location, so your still on virtual meetings anyway.
To be fair a lot of this is my personal experience and other companies may work differently but for me, I'm staying fully remote. Good companies/teams make it work. If your company/team can't work like there are other issues at fault.
AI are already generating antibody treatments. Companies provide AI with the disease/issue and antibodies that kinda work, then have the AI generate antibodies to fix the disease/issue. The best antibodies are then made in a lab and tested in vitro. However, as somone else noted, antibodies/medications are patented, which is different than copyright. Patents can be done on the process of making the antibody so you patrent the final process of making the antibody, not the AI work to come up with which antibody to make. Source: I attended a Patent Law seminar on this a few months ago.
I think he means that when most people genuinely smile, the muscles around their eyes also pull up. However it looks like Mr. Beast is just pulling his lips into a smile and not his full face. This makes it feel like the smile isn't genuine.
I think a normal measuring tape could work. I went to a place and they measured my chest above/below my breasts and then across the center and lower part of my breasts. The issue is the cost for premium bras are often out of the price range for most people.
I accidentally overdosed on acetaminophen after a surgery once. Doctor forgot to tell me (or I was still high when he told me) he gave me acetaminophen during/after the surgery. I thought I still could take up to 4g that day. A few hours after the surgery, the pain started to kick in so I took some acetaminophen. Ended up vomiting uncontrollably.
Yes, becuse in my family, all the older family members make him real for the younger kids. We actively work together to make Christmas a magical time by telling stories and staying up late to put out presents. I know that Santa is not a real person but I believe I can keep his "spirit alive" by giving heartfelt presents and spending quality time with my family.
I personally am atheist but I will admit that many religions have good teachings. I don't believe in the gods from those religions but I can follow the guidelines to living a good life.
I think this is a good idea but I would still like a quick explanation in each video (example: "were going to dice like this but more info can be found in the description"). I honestly may not have the time to watch the complete technique video in the moment but may go back for the next time.
How to cut veggies properly. This could be on a per recipe basis like "in this recipe we will dice onions, here's how". I've been cooking for years but sometimes I get tripped up on what's best for the veggies in that specific recipe and I just guess.
When to add things to the pan and how long to cook/what temp before adding more stuff. I feel like other cooking shows don't explain that some things need to cook longer than others.
Explain mixing things to get the right flavor, for example this is salty so we add sweet/acidic. I feel like this is probably super important and why my food always tastes off.
I have health issues with my intestines and am super sensitive to grease. Too much oil/butter and I'll be sick. So I personally would like to know ways to cook with less oil/butter but still taste good. Or maybe ways to use the oil in food already (I'm thinking ground beef/bacon) so you don't add more (I have no idea if this is possible just an idea in case it is).
Yea this is me. I'm really good at packing spaces. I've had to repack people's cars to get everything to fit for long trips or moves. It's like I can see how to make the pieces fit together to maximize space.
Yea there is a tiny flower stand in the parking lot of a mall near me. I went there thinking I could get a cheaper price for flowers for my wedding. Turns out this was just a small store front to meet with clients. They actually own a warehouse where they do most of their business for companies/hotels.
They were nice and still gave me a good price if I agreed to using left over flowers. I had no idea what the flowers were going to look like until I picked them up for my weeding but it was cheap and worth it.
My mom told my brother he's her favorite son (he's her only son) and I'm her second favorite daughter (I'm her only daughter). We were confused and my mom said we have a secret older sister. We're pretty sure she is joking but what if????
My partner also doesn't like floral prints but recently bought some other "summer patterns" like fish and a pink/purple plaid. There are other options out there.
For summer months I think Hawaiian shirts or other patterned shirts are cute. You can pair them with khaki, navy, or jean shorts for a cute look that is still cool.
