  • Israel doesn't need or want global support, because they know they've got the unwavering support of the only country that matters, the United States. Shit, our own government covered up when Israel attacked us on purpose and killed a bunch of sailors. If they're willing to not only forgive, but go to great lengths to conceal acts of war by Israel against the United States, then there isn't anything they could do to Arab countries they've invaded that would push the US away.

  • Israel started the genocide. For that matter, they have a long history of starting fights with their neighbors. Sometimes it works out for them, and sometimes it doesn't, but the common theme is they always blame it on people wanting to genocide the Jews. Only idiots still fall for that shit.

Lucky for them, they have powerful allies that cover for them and drag their asses out of the fire each time. But public opinion is slowly changing, and at some point it's going to tip and Israel is going to pick a fight where nobody comes to their rescue. When that happens, I hope I'm around to appreciate them receiving their just rewards for being truly inhuman monsters.

  • It's fine, everyone was a newbie at one time.

  • Three edits on one comment, I feel pretty special. Must really have bothered him if he had to come back twice. 😂

  • Well of course you haven't had any issues you could pin specifically to NVIDIA + Wayland. Because according to your post you're specifically using Nouveau + Wayland. Be kind of strange for a driver you don't have installed to be causing you issues.

And you didn't need to point out you're an Arch user, we could tell just from the sense of superiority dripping off your comment.

  • Yes, I suppose if their computer is a decade or two old, it might have an impact on their render times.

  • Yeah, they let the aid trucks in, the bombed the aid after it had been delivered.

  • Even in the US, a corporate monopoly trying to force people to use their browser will trigger an antitrust lawsuit from the government. Microsoft has already faced one for what they did with Edge, and they didn't even do DRM.

Besides, it's YouTube. If you can't use it anymore, it's not gonna be the end of the world.

  • People are acting as if losing YouTube and other Google services is the end of the world. It is not. You don't need Google, even if you use Android.

  • They refuse to do it because the idea has absolutely no merit to it. If there's a virus on your computer that could steal your data, it can just wait till you unlock that data to steal it. There is zero practical benefit to implementing your suggestion.

  • A device that allows me to kill any billionaire, world leader, or politician remotely, anywhere in the world, without them being able to stop me.

  • Most of the cool shit for AI these days is done by users, so at this point the companies aren't super important anymore.

  • I dunno how fun it would be alone, because dwarves are a race that are all about being together and some of the features lean into that, but we're having a lot of fun with it. It's challenging, but not to the point where we feel overwhelmed or lost. And the atmosphere it has is just right, they did a great job taking what we know from the books and the style we got from the movies, and turning that into a video game.

  • That or the lolis. I hate when you're watching an anime that seems good, and then they start sexualizing a nine year old.

I've heard the arguments about how it's a difference in culture, but I don't think it's offensive when I say if your culture includes pedophilia, it's time to take a long hard look at where you went wrong and think about what you should be changing about yourself. Because it's gross.

  • To clarify, the location service is turned on remotely during an emergency call or after texting an emergency number to let first responders know where an emergency is, but it is turned off afterwards by the phone if it was disabled beforehand. And it's only turned on during the call that the user initiates, emergency services cannot remotely turn it on, because it is the phone that actually manages the permissions and computes the location and not the dispatcher. Neither Android nor iOS allows emergency services to remotely turn on location services without you calling them first, since that would be a violation of your privacy and would absolutely be abused by law enforcement.

So everyone should be advised that you cannot check the location of a loved one unless you arrange it before you end up needing it.

  • Return to Moria. It's a lot of fun, adventuring through a Dwarven mine with a few friends. It was hard to put down, but I suppose we need to eat and sleep at some point.

  • The last time this popped up was months ago on reddit, and the tool they came up with did something that could be reversed as a batch job using any image manipulator. Which means somebody will write a Stable Diffusion plug-in to fix these images.
