  • I think I gather where you're sailing, aye.

  • It's usually not very noticeable, but there's a lot of face time in the game when talking to people, and that's when you really notice it. It's not a deal breaker though, because when you use a platform like the Deck, you accept that not every game is going to look its best. And the rest of the experience with BG3 is fantastic on the Deck. I prefer moving with a joystick over the point and click movement of the KB/M for this game.

  • As others have suggested, the Steam Deck fits your need. Get the cheapest model, because it's cheaper to upgrade than it is to buy the top tier model. I did that, swapped out the SSD in like five minutes, and slapped on an etched glass screen protector.

  • Just make a cron that runs the rm command every day or whatever to clean out the files. Then run a SQL query at the same time to truncate any draft posts in the database. There's no logic to this method, it just clears out the files and records related to draft posts, but it's fast and effective.

There's a small chance it might fuck somebody up if they were writing a post at that exact moment, but you can schedule the cron for when your instance is the quietest.

  • I mean, FSR 1 ain't pretty, but it gets the job done, and it's all BG3 has. I also turned down all the critical settings like shadows to low. You can't see the fine details on shadows anyway when playing the deck, so no point wasting resources on them. Same thing for fog, turn that shit to low. Everything else should be set to medium.

You'll probably not get as much FPS as I do, because I've tweaked my Deck a lot, but you should have no issues getting a solid 30fps on average, which is what most people report. I spend about half my time on BG3 on my Deck, because I play it at work, and it runs really well for me, so I know you can get there too with minor adjustments!

  • The problem might be the coffee itself. The stuff you buy at the store is often the cheaper robusta variety, which is known for its bitter taste. It's why it's cheap. Arabica coffee is smoother, and much less bitter in some cases. But anything from the store is also from multiple sources, meaning they take crops from all over the world and mix them together. Single source coffee is more expensive, but you can find varieties that are more delicate than store coffee and taste more fruity. Chances are you could find a kind you would be happy drinking with no added cream or sugar.

But then again, don't push yourself to try it. It's really no big deal if you don't like coffee. And honestly, it's not really good for you anyway, as caffeine is addictive and weaning yourself off of it can be a quite literal headache. Plus it raises your blood pressure, so depending on your health conditions, it might be really bad for you. You're not missing anything to be sad over. And I say that as a coffee lover.

  • How would they address your concerns? The chances that one of the devs follows you is nonexistent, I would wager. Instead of using the proper channels to inform them, you did the exact opposite and posted it someplace they are almost guaranteed not to see it.

  • This can be solved very easily by a cron job to clean out the folder periodically, if you're worried about it.

  • Proton is the way to go. For $12 or whatever it is these days, I get a subscription to Proton VPN, Mail, Calandar, Drive, and Pass (a password manager). I also get 500gb of storage. The VPN is fast enough I leave it on all the time, even when gaming.

  • Maybe. I suppose we could always report the comments linking directly, and let the admin decide, couldn't we?

  • Trains only honk because they can't stop, so all they can do is warn. Cars should not be going so fast they can't stop on city streets. Also, trains always have the right-of-way, but cars never do, even on roads without crosswalks or sidewalks. They must always yield to all pedestrians in any situation.

  • I look at something and decide to read it. If I enjoy it, I keep reading. That's my very strict criteria.

You said nobody wants to "waste time" reading "unworthy" books. But if you enjoy it, it's not wasted time. I didn't even read your whole post, because it seems to me like you spend most of your time trying to find something perfect and very little time enjoying a book. That doesn't really appeal to me at all, but you do you.

  • Direct links aren't allowed, you need to edit that. We can talk about piracy, but no linking.

  • Technically, your wife is still your girlfriend. You two never broke up before getting married.

  • She gets bored looking at it all, probably. The most interesting thing I there is nudes of her.

Ok, she would get a little annoyed with all the pictures of her sleeping. She hates me taking photos of her asleep.

  • Why would they learn from a mistake that wasn't even a mistake and wasn't theirs to begin with? Like, what is the point you are trying to make?
