  • I'm also fan of a particular type of guitar riff that I can only describe as "crunchy" with my limited music vocabulary.

The best example I can give is Spirit in the Sky. The lyrics are cheesy, but damn the guitars are fine in that track.

  • Because it's one thing to not shame ignorance, and quite another to entertain people who are being deliberately obtuse.

  • Like as the main or only instrument in a song? Probably Spanish guitar. See "Vamo Alla Flamenco" from Final Fantasy 9. I wanna say Diablo 2 had a good Spanish guitar track too, but no idea what it's called.

  • I assume that's one of Melon Husk's daughters? Don't most of his brood hate him though?

  • Reminds me of Piers Anthony's Xanth books. Everyone has a singular magic talent, but some of them straight suck, like creating a colored spot on the wall. But used creatively, even the suck ones can have value, like the spot person becoming a master pointillist artist.

  • Pants down, anything nearby that fits goes straight up the butt.

  • For years I thought he sang "the cemetery where I married a thief" in Otherside, and that still made more sense than the real line.

  • I'd guess that unless you were already conceived at the time, there's a good chance you don't exist in a universe where Kennedy lived. Massive historical event, butterfly effects all down the timeline.

  • I unironically enjoy the old 2005 Fantastic 4 movie. It was cheesy as fuck, I don't deny that. But it was fun. And the comics themselves can be as bad or worse sometimes.

    Also I like Julian McMahon.

Also also, Chris Evans towel scene.

  • This reminds me of HOL (Human Occupied Landfill), which I've read about but haven't played.

Anyway, it has stats like Meat, Feet, and Mouth, and skills like "That Psycho Bruce Lee Shit", "Pilot Starship and Chew Gum at the Same Time", "Whining Until You Get What You Want", and "Turn Radios Into Howitzers".

  • I realized after a moment that they simply meant "everyone in the castle attacks you", but my first thought was of the castle itself rising up as a mecha like Alexander from FF9.

...could you have a castle mimic?

  • They did do a lot of teasing of the moon and the Crystal Palace space station, but there are also signs in-game about a high-speed rail line to Chicago opening in 2080. So the "Chicago but wrong" descriptor might be exactly what it says on the tin.

  • Absolutely, no hesitation.

    Who wouldn't fuck that pie?

  • Fuuuuuck, I forgot all about those. Lone Wolf, Wizards Warriors & You, Fighting Fantasy... They were like a bridge between CYOA and D&D.

  • Where were you with this kind of genius in 1993?

  • Not gonna lie, I was hoping they'd use some Law of Surprise stuff to give Geralt a new ward and let you create your own Witcher. But, if instead I get to do teleport strike bullshit with Ciri's powers, I'll be content.

  • Monetary costs are not the only costs in this scenario. One of the costs of destroying the mountain is that the area no longer has that mountain. In exchange for warehouses and parking lots or whatever an "industrial area" means.

  • You lose a mountain to get some shitty parking lots or whatever.
