Edit, FYI, the reason it's missing is because the text interpreter treats it as an escape for the underscore. You have to escape the backslash too, so you need to type 3 of them, like this:
Why do stormtroopers wear that armor? It doesn't stop blasters, bullets, arrows, or lightsabers. It's not like they get into any fist fights where it would stop punches.
Well that's handy. I wonder what determines if it can relaunch a program or not. Does it retain your actual work state though, or just relaunch those programs? On my MacBook if I tell it to restore stuff when I shut down then it takes me back to exact same state, sans some VPN logins. Unsaved text editor files will still be there, whatever I had open in vs code will be active, all my browser tabs will restore, etc.. It acts more like a hibernate than a shutdown.
I started a 2nd playthrough a couple of days ago as a Drow Bard, who is kind of evil and self-serving. So maybe it would fit. I had planned to kill Karlach this time, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. It's just a game, and they give you a lot of reasons to kill her, but after 150 hours of playing with her, going through her entire personal journey, and witnessing her emotional breakdown, I just couldn't do it. She's my favorite character. Astarion is my favorite character for scheming with, but Karlach is my favorite overall.
La'zael is my least favorite in my first playthrough and the one I was talking about before, but now in this new campaign she's my homey. So maybe I'll sacrifice Wyll, since he's a goodie two-shoes.
Edit: can you sacrifice a hireling in the Underdark?
Are you talking about the kidnapping? She kidnapped a companion that I hadn't talked to in the entire game. I was like "oh cool! Now I don't have to see that little icon over her head anymore!". But then they made me save her. Pssh!
Shutting down and re-booting doesn't retain your active work state. Mac OS will at least launch everything you had open if you want it to, but Windows (at least up to 10) has no such feature.
That seems about right for Meta. They probably broke it on purpose to see how many times you'll try to log back in before giving up. They do these types of tests to determine how much of a hold they have on their userbase.
This movie should have been named A Divorce Story, and then promptly dumped into the ocean. What the fuck was the point of the thing? It's just a two hour long exposé into misery.
Yes, I'm in Seattle. A house like these would be over half a million dollars, an hour away from the edge of the city. There are little towns dotting the outskirts of King County, and they're all still prohibitively expensive.
Also pushing pop-ups everywhere, except this time they're part of the site and we can't easily block them.
