LaTeX can produce .html with links. It can litterally generate an entire documentation website.

What do you like about them? Just curious about your perspective.

I'm afraid that in our current political system, voters would get a fresh choice of candidates who would probably still send weapons to Israel. Somehow we need deeper political change.

The main difference is that Biden maintains some plausible deniability. "WE didn't kill anyone! We didn't know they would use these tools for genocide!". Maybe in some sense that IS worse.

I think you give Discord too much credit even with that. They're closed source and have very little openness with their data. We have no clue how they store and archive our data and conversations, or what they do with it. I don't think the open source community should trust Discord an inch.

I'm really hoping an open source alternative starts gaining traction.

Both are powerful tools, though with different strengths as you describe. I was thinking more with automation in mind. But regardless, anything is better than a discord server. Even .txt documentation!

Not to excuse Biden, and his complete apathy for this ongoing genocide. It is unexcusable, and no one who tolerates genocide should be allowed anywhere near politics.

There are a lot of reasons to be suspicious about trump when it comes to colluding with foreign powers, and there is even some evidence. I agree that people often take it too far, into the conspiracy theory territory. But I don't think it's quite comparable with QAnon, either in feasibility, or in scope, or in the problematic effects that it may have.

Also, the American system is, at best, only semi-democratic. The politicians are the ones who determine who is in power, much more than the people who actually vote. Are the citizens really responsible for what politicians we have? Am I responsible, as a man who votes conscientiously, who has campaigned during important elections, and yet does not have any real influence in who gets elected? Is the average person, who is just barely getting by, really expected to change the system by themselves?

We need systemic change, but we have no class consciousness, and we are not likely to get there. These facts are manipulated by the people in power.

There are so many tools to make documentation for your project. LATEX is a great one, and you can use it to easily host your documentation online. And it's really not difficult at all to do by hand. If you can have it on discord you can certainly have it in a repo.

Maybe it's a cynical ploy to increase community engagement with their project by getting them into the discord. Regardless, it gives me The Ick. Very gross.

They actually do have an army. Most states have a state guard or reserves/militia.

Edit: I did research and the state guards are branches of the national guard placed under the control of the state. Meaning that they are in the U.S. army, as the other user states.

In the US there is enormous investment in new NAND and other chips manufacturing. The government does not want these products and materials to be expensive or scarce. So the good news is the US gov will likely jump on this immediately.
