Discussion: What Android devices are you using?

  • Pixel 7. When I got it, it updated it and then flashed calyx :)

    I got a pixel, because they are some of the easiest to flash. I strongly considered a fairphone 4, but the 60hz screen was a dealbreaker for me.

    What I like: the boost in nits and better battery. I don't seem to notice much difference in the photo department.

    What I dislike: coming from a pixel 4, the pixel 7 is quite large.

  • Usually doesn't work on newer builds. Even with no nic driver installed it wants to connect.

  • That can be circumvented, luckily. When setting up the computer, hit shift+F10 and type in: OOBE\BYPASSNRO That will restart the computer, and it is now possible to create a local account. Why they would make it so difficult is hard to fathom, besides datamining it's userbase and profit... oh wait, I got it now.
