The controller on the deck is actually different though.

It'd be good if they can eventually make a controller that is actually based on the steamdeck's controller design.

That's a hard question.

I want Firefox to be better. I've gone back to it many times in 20 years. I'm using it right now.

But I tend to always leave at some point due to performance issues that I can never resolve. I'm having a good run at the moment with the worst of it being a random lockup I can't seem to figure out the cause of (and is pretty much just a task manager close, reopen, and resume...and infrequent enough to not really cause much headache)

But other times i've had memory leaks, or using most of the ram, or terrible addon management. I pretty much tried Chrome in the first place because back whenever Chrome came out, Firefox was using so much memory that I couldn't play games while Firefox was open, and multitasking is one of the things I've always taken as the reason to play games on PC over consoles.

All in all, I think it represents something better, but whether or not it is better is always up in the air. I just hope people stay hard on them to keep trying to improve the system, because i'm sure there's people far further on the fence than I am, and I think firefox is capable of just being a good browser.

Completely ignoring that collectors preserve computer games the same way they do consoles, and just preserve a computer with the necessary requirements.

And both those computers and those consoles are subject to deterioration which has been a large argument towards backing up games through emulation. While you may never want to good luck finding a working Atari Jaguar CD, and that's just one of the easier examples.

I honestly don't have the faintest belief that Nintendo would ever take the deal. Sure they don't diversify their platforms, but they also have the best cut from their platform.

I am down to one subreddit and with enough traffic that I can use the alternatives without getting request blocked.

The switch is like 1/4th the steamdeck and much more comfortable as a handheld

I still use the steamdeck more due to a larger library, but for the games that switch does support it's usually much more comfortable. There's definite tradeoffs to top of the line hardware on a handheld, and Nintendo has known that since that beat out the game gear with the Gameboy, mainly due to battery life back then.

I feel like people downplay the size factor either because they don't use it for it's handheld properties or for them personally they have issues making it comfortable.

And honestly I don't see the issue with it being a gen behind. Games will still be made for it, and if it's a top of the line turbo graphics game I'm just going to use my Desktop. I probably wouldn't have used the Steamdeck anyway because if Switch is low range, steamdeck is midrange, and still not where my desktop is.

But the idea of great hardware and great software is still a mixed bag. And Nintendo's titles show that it's not so much the hardware holding them back but that companies won't make their games with the switch in mind, which is both fair but also gives expected results (such as the recent MK game)

Does it even make them any money if someone is inside the building? It seems more like justifying a purchase that didn't pan out.

To be fair, that's not all the strips. That's the one the OP chose to show.

Like I'd say going through 20-30 strips only 2-3 were like that.

I think we're just saying a mainstream D&D game lets players do more than you do, with the story fullheartedly supporting it.
