  • Sure, there's incentive to try to maintain that

It just requires relying on a bunch of people who can't be relied to want to keep that status quo, and would probably kill their opposition given the opportunity.

Yeah, you could assume there's an incentive if you looked at it in the most narrow vacuum.

  • I mean,

Unless they removed the comment you were responding to, that first comment was clearly worth removing, because you were telling someone to shut up for something the mod wasn't actually going to threaten a ban with.

The second post sounds like you're picking fights with people.

It just kindof looks like you're going out looking to create snapshots to post here. I'm not going to say the hexbear mobs aren't awful, but there is such a thing as poking the bear.

  • I don't think a strike really has anything to do with that. It has to do with treating the workers better.

Now if that also came with extending the time for releases (yes, even the really long AAA development cycles) that could probably improve the quality of said games.

  • I'm pretty sure it didn't release to positive reviews.

Unless all the positivity we're talking about is journalist reviews and not people being incredibly angry at the game

In fact wasn't there a review ban on 2077's original release?

  • I'd say Executables (for all their risks) make it pretty easy for less savy users to get apps not immediately made available to them, given there are definite security issues.

But I will be fair that I think Linux's flatpaks are helping a bit with making apps more available without worrying about the distro. Plus proton/wine lets users grab some of the useful exe's from windows.

It's improving I do agree, but it's something that will hopefully keep improving.
