  • I should play the campaign through again. Haven't played the game after the 10 acts became a thing so essentially I'm just a noob again. I've mostly read that people are sick of the campaign because they have already played it a billion times, and not that first timers are having a bad time.

  • You get tens of hours of high-quality gameplay for free when you go through the campaign. How is that not saying much? I feel like it is not a bad deal at all. If you like the game when you probably need to drop some money to get most out of the experience. I think that's fine. Though it is a fine line where they are walking in terms of monetization through inventory management. Would be interesting to know how large portion of the income is from stash tabs etc vs cosmetics.

  • I read through Kobo app, and Libby on my phone, and I also have a Kobo e-reader (I think it'd Clara but not sure). I actually use my phone more than the reader though, just because I always have it with me. Both are great imo!

  • Do note that there are two things to consider: do you want 3D printing to be a hobby, or a 3D printer?

The former points you toward things like Prusa, who has an excellent track record on reliability and being a work horse. They give support if need be and just high quality.

The latter means things like Ender 3 etc. They have perhaps a larger user base and lots of places to find info on what upgrades to do, and how to get most out of the machine. But they might not perform as worry free as the other kind. It is not that they won't give you a beautiful print, it is more that they are more prone to problems and can be lacking in certain aspects, hence, problems / necessary upgrades are most likely expected at some point.

The former is roughly speaking 2-3x as expensive as the latter kind, assuming similar print space.

  • Those laws often include punishments for the enablers

I did not know this but I guess it makes sense. But yes many countries do have these kinds of laws. Then sure, it is a good idea to know the laws regarding this of the country you are visiting.

  • Good to know. I remember that I hovered around the 22-24 area as well but with 15/250g ratio.

Yeah it could be the water, I should go there and ask them to use tap water instead to just get a feeling on the difference. I use tap because it is very high quality here, though I think that the coffee shop does filter theirs.

  • you’re still saying you do it to help others “break the law”, it’s just someone else’s law that you don’t agree with

I don't quite understand this. How is this different from this case: a substance is prohibited in a country X, but not in yours. You sell the produce in your country, and people from country X come to visit your store and buy the produce. They might take it back home, and hence, break the law. Or they might use it down the street.

How are you to blame for this? Though in OPs case the produce is given away.

  • I mean, it is not that hard of a thought process? Considering how many left reddit but have been complaining about it for years. As far as they were considering (including me), there was no better alternative. Your friend probably thinks the same. If the people he follows would go to Mastodon, they would follow. But as long as this people don't, then there isn't enough content there to be a viable alternative for them.

  • Mukavaa mainetta 3D-tulostukselle.

  • Nah. The body does not have to work "really hard" to warm it up. And if your body is already hot and trying to cool down by sweating then the cold water will help with that. You need 1 kcal to heat up a litre of water by a degree. So if you drink a litre of 6C water and your body temp is 36C then you will need a whopping 30kcal to heat it up. That's like 5g of peanuts, so like 7.

  • The main annoyance with CLI is that it is not nearly as easy to discover things with it. With a gui you can just click through each setting and see what is what. With CLI you can't really, you gotta read the manual which definitely can be cumbersome. And even if the commands do try to make sense it is still very common to forget the abbreviation unless you use it often (or write it down). At least I do. I use git semi occasionally and keep forgetting amend.

I like CLI. But it does have its shortcomings.
